@chrisbriem “Literally” surrounding you. What’s about figuratively surrounding you? Like on Netflix or HBOMax playing on the ultra-high def TVs in the dozens of $1,500-a-month apartments in walking distance? If you’re going to throw in the word “literally,” throw in a crime stat or two.

@nntaleb The most absurd thing about that post is the use of the word “worth” instead of priced. “Worth” to whom?

@chadbrown94 If anything, it seemed like they could have called it a sack because Sanders was in the grasp when he threw it.

What are we doing NFL? Is this really what you want? Changing games and lives based on asking defenders to do something physically impossible? I know QB health is important to the league but this is ridiculous! x.com/TiltTrade/stat…

Sorry - to clarify this relates solely to tenants who have historically been in the CBD.
Tim Schooley@PBT_Tim

@PatrickSentner Th way you put this makes it sound like nobody is choosing the suburbs for an office move at all.

Yes sir. Even the groups that stay in the CBD are at least exploring the North Shore and Strip District!
Tim Schooley@PBT_Tim

@PatrickSentner @PghBizTimes I’m not accessing this map for whatever reason. Assuming it shows downtown and fringe? Virtually every tenant search? Interesting

Tim - the @PghBizTimes map above represents the geographic area for virtually everyone of our tenant searches over the past few years!
Tim Schooley@PBT_Tim

@chrisbriem I always try to be careful how they monitor this stuff since so much of the development action in the city has been just beyond downtown for years. But the golden triangle is comparatively tiny in land area…not much more than 100 acres.

@chrisbriem Two affordable multifamily projects nearing completion in Uptown and at least 4 others proposed. We’ll see what goes forward next year.

@PBT_Tim If we ever get that Uptown/Bluff redevelopment promised since the Land of the Lost, we can just merge everything from Downtown to Oakland into one conurbation.

@kenklippenstein This post should spark a Gene Gene the Dancing Machine revival that might be just what the world needs right now. At least for a minute and a half.

@chrisbriem Drawing a blank on the sponge store. I do remember working in the 900 block of Penn Ave in the 90s and it was a helluva lot rougher then than now.

@chrisbriem Maybe your being too dismissive of the cardboard condominium as a valid address. But yeah downtown was rough for a long time before COVID.

@chrisbriem Yeah I knew he had died but I’d lost track of when. Definitely remember Skrinjar referencing cardboard condominiums tho.

@chrisbriem First wrote about this prospect in Jan. Interesting prospect is this is the 1st time in decades a new owner bought Ststion Square for itself. Forest City was angling for a casino originally and Brookfield inherited in a portfolio deal. Could be compelling.

@chrisbriem Worrying about trolls is reason to not post much of anything on this platform at this point for me. BGB would probably spend most of his time complaining about overpriced housing and apartment rents to pay enough attention to his job.

@PBT_Tim Ha, I had a fleeting thought of a BGB reference to add, but I worried what trolls that might attract in this day in age. But the BGB history is all the more ridiculous in today's context.

This is certainly delusional on a host of levels, but there are conceivably some low population states where something like this could have a political impact. But sure, if Ackman or some other Manhattan millionaires want to move to Altoona, welcome! Will love to read a future news story about just one mover someday.

New Yorkers, I know this isn’t what you want to hear right now, but — to anyone considering moving — make Pennsylvania your home. This website will help you choose a strategic county in Pennsylvania that will both help us keep the House & flip the PA governorship from 🟦🔜🟥.

@chrisbriem Pretty fascinating store. Asian markets are the best for different kinds of mushrooms at great prices. Not that I eat much of it but it wouldn’t surprise me if that place has a bigger selection of live seafood than Wholey’s.

@JMackeyPG Puzzling to me, though, why there’s been little to no remembrance of the 1925 World Series champions in this 100-year anniversary year. I mean, sure, nobody alive now was around then. But what a great marker of the team’s heritage.

It’s Monday afternoon, and there are hundreds of people gathered around the remnants on a wall, listening to a baseball game from 1960 and updating a scoreboard someone made. I love this city and sport.
