❌ “Only shrinking economy in the G7”
➡️ False. Germany & the UK have also had contracting quarters. Canada’s growth is weak. Not uniquely shrinking.
❌ “Worst food inflation in G7”
➡️ Misleading. Canada’s been high, but the UK and parts of Europe have had worse spikes.
❌ “2nd highest unemployment in G7”
➡️ Half-true. Canada ranks on the higher end at times, but stats vary by methodology.
📊 Bottom line:
Selective stats ≠ reality. Canada has challenges. This framing is exaggerated.
