@WindowsLatest Wow, after 30 years of engineering, you were able to do what I was able to do in Windows 95! Congratulations to your indian team of useless coding agents.

It's happening! Here's your first look at a movable taskbar in Windows 11, coming soon. You'll be able to move and resize the taskbar on Windows 11, just like you did on Windows 10! It's still in internal testing, and to be clear, this video is from a virtual machine, which is why it might feel slow. Also, Microsoft won't use the right-click menu we're seeing in the video; it's only being used to quickly debug the feature. What else do you want Microsoft to improve in Windows 11? 👇

@WindowsCentral So hiring all those smiley pic'd loud mouths that harped all day online about how awesome [insert js framework] was didn't workout so good. All those that know to code natively left or were kicked out, didn't they? Natella still has a job, why?

Microsoft is building a team of engineers that will focus on building "100% native" apps and experiences for Windows 11. Until now, Windows has utilized a number of different UI techs and frameworks across various interfaces. Many in-box apps and some key system interfaces use web tech, which feel slow and inconsistent among native Windows interfaces. Well, that could soon be changing, as Microsoft is now hiring for a team that will focus on building experiences that use Windows' native app platform. It's all part of Microsoft's larger effort to address pain points across the OS this year! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…

@WindowsCentral Microsoft should consider requiring third-party apps to be native. This would enhance performance and prevent apps from becoming sluggish, similar to WhatsApp, which experienced performance degradation after switching to a webview.

@Paradigmidi @RudyHuyn I could design skinned app with skinned controls in 1998 in Delphi, directly in the IDE. Nowdays I need to design it in text mode! This is a joke. Regress.

I’m building a new team to work on Windows apps! You don’t need prior experience with the platform, what matters most is strong product thinking and a deep focus on the customer.

If you’ve built great apps on any platform and care about crafting meaningful user experiences, I’d love to hear from you. Send me your portfolio via DM. If you know someone looking for their next opportunity, feel free to share this with them!

Copilot used to be a native Windows app (I liked it really). Now it is a web app again with iOS (???) toggles. Seriously, what is wrong with you, Microsoft?

@RudyHuyn Take a look at my software, written in 32-bit assembly MASM, which works from Windows 95 to Windows 11. Try to beat that in terms of compatibility. Support for hi DPI, scalable icons, and custom controls. pelock.com/products/peloc…

@RudyHuyn How about you upgrade the existing UI ecosystem in Windows, by extending existing WinAPI controls and allowing easy upgrade of old apps. People know how to code all those WinAPI stuff, they just need new controls, new functions, DPI support, SVG icons support, animations.

@bbaskin As a software protection developer I'm devastated by the times I had to explain to customers antivirus software is a joke and you can XOR entire EXE and it would be enough for AV to fasle-postive it.
