@AStarFutsal @EnglandFutsal Yes unfortunately that’s right, you cannot be assessed on both sports. Same goes for rugby union and rugby league, they are viewed as too similar. The whole of GCSE PE (particularly practical side) needs an overhaul.

A weird one; my daughter plus a few of my players are preparing to take GCSE PE. You need to choose 3 sports to specialise in but have been declined choosing football & futsal as they're the same thing. Anyone had any experience? Any POV? @EnglandFutsal @PEteachingideas

@MrHurseyPE Break it into two major chunks. We teach all of paper 1 content in Y10 and then complete all of AEP (bar action plan) from Easter to Summer. Complete the Action Plan in Jan & Feb of Y11 after teaching remainder of paper 2. March to May is all revision.

Great detail for anyone wanting to try out jungle or chaos finishing
Elias M.@EliasUSV

@transformbball We call it "chaos finishing": 1 octopus in the smile (with diff. constraints: ie. can't jumb, rooted skyscraper, big ball in hands to force contact, etc.), and 1-2 more "live" defenders who roaming in "bases" (ie. inside and/or outside the paint).

Love this idea of ‘jungle finishing’. Concept and practice can work in multiple invasion games.

Has anybody had any experience teaching a dance SOW based on the theme of pirates? We are looking at starting a Y5/Y6 module after Christmas. Any help would be greatly appreciated! @WannaTeachPE @MrTs_NQTs @PEteachingideas

Brilliant activity for our Y8 Gymnastics units with concepts of balance, trust and tension. How does trust affect balance? Our conceptual questions today. We progressed this to make it competitive. Mini whiteboards and teams attempting to draw a flower and write their names!

✏️ Give our game of the week 'Place the Pen' a go! Challenge teams to place a marker pen as far as they can past the starting line. ⬆️ The pen must be standing up. ❌ Teams cannot touch the floor past the line. 🏆 The team that places the pen the furthest are the winners.

@peter8green That exam PE is planned, sequenced, delivered and assessed better than ‘core’.An explicit guide from exam boards of what ‘knowledge’ should be taught, annual National assessment & statistics makes this much easier to do than for core PE which is given so little guidance from DoE.
