I’m going to be blunt. I’d like to talk about some of the very stupid things that people are saying right now If you’re not catholic, I’m not talking to you. I’m talking to people who say they are Catholic. Let’s start with the talking point about the pope sitting behind walls. Have you been to the Vatican? These “high walls” that were built in the fourth century leave an opening about a half a mile wide so that anyone and everyone can simply walk in anytime. Look at an image of Saint Peter Square you’ll see exactly what I mean. What the heck are you guys talking about with high walls? Would you like them to tear down a fourth century wall so that you think their politics might be more defendable? Would you like a pope that runs about shouting “cry havoc and let’s slip the dogs of war!” is that the pope you want? What mighty army would he summon? How did our invasion of Iraq in the Afghanistan go? How many corpses do we need to pile up until everyone understands that war is a horror. Statistically, more than 99% of the people screaming for war will never be affected by it. Maybe The Pope should call for a crusade? I’m sure all 27 Americans who replied to it would make a huge difference. Your political masters .2 about eight posts to see how bad the pope is. You believe them. He’s given a ton of speeches about Islamic violence, he’s done everything in his speaking power to encourage people toward peace. But your political masters told you different and you followed like good acolytes. Most of our Protestant brothers and sisters love us, Catholics. But the Huxter‘s and the insecure don’t. I’m watching Catholics repeat the talking points of anti-Catholic madman and acting like they have a geopolitical sense greater than that of a man in charge of a world wide institution with 1.3 billion members. Pardon my intensity, but I am very sick of Americans being more formed by right wing and left-wing political commentators then they are by the spirit of the living God. Do you want war? Go fight in one. Stand with me at the funeral of these beautiful lives, shredded and cut short so that your political masters are appeased.

The word “Christian” has been diluted to near-worthlessness, abused by countless charlatans who display zero spiritual fruit. I’d call myself a sinner in need of forgiveness who places his trust in the living Christ, but maybe I’ll discover a shorter word for that. Is that sufficient, or do I need to file an application with you first?

@FmrRepMTG Trump works late into the evening every day, doesn't take a salary, puts up with an unbelievable amount of abuse, but has done more for this country than many Presidents put together. You on the other hand got your panties all in a wad over a perceived slight, and ran.

On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope because the Pope is rightly against Trump’s war in Iran and then he posted this picture of himself as if he is replacing Jesus. This comes after last week’s post of his evil tirade on Easter and then threatening to kill an entire civilization. I completely denounce this and I’m praying against it!!!

The Pope is an elected religious “authority” that takes the Lords name in vein. He speaks as if he is God and try’s to put words and motives into God’s mouth. The Pope is nothing more than a sinful mortal elected man. He is an idol to May and that goes against God. I pray you find peace in your life. 🇺🇸

I remember dealing with this in middle and high school, and yes, one person can legit mess it all up for 30 students. It sucks

@CHamilton10315 The system is also designed for cogs in a factory. If there were a focus on classical education, apprenticeships, and other options, within a generation, we'll see a very positive difference.

@PassStage6 Yep. The problem with the American education system is that every kid gets an education whether they want it or not. We need to start expelling kids who are disruptive because they are messing up the education of everyone around them.

@OrdinariateUSA @catholicpat Basic statistics and data science are a lot harder than people realize, and most of these surveys are done/collected poorly. In the end of the day, people like @RazorFist will come home if they are really looking for the truth.

These people don’t understand statistics That Ryan Burge slopchart that gets posted under every conversion thread is just a snapshot of total American society’s religious affiliation. “8 people leave for every 1 join” is so inaccurate is makes me want to delete this app and join a monastery. That chart does NOT capture trends in any way. All it’s analyzing is the % of people who identity as ex-Catholic, vs the % of people who identify as a Catholic convert. The chart should say “for every 8 ex Catholics we polled, we polled 1 Catholic convert” IT DOESNT CAPTURE TREND. It’s treating someone who left the church in 1989 with the same weight as someone who joined the church in 2026. If Ryan Burge were honest he would include age and year of conversion in his data, but he doesn’t, because he wants to poll a bunch of boomers who apostasized in 1978 to ‘prove the church is dying’ in order to demoralize Catholics after we had the largest Easter vigil conversion class in over 25 years It’s frustrating and just dishonest and gross.

Civilization was built by people like this, and there is a stunning lack of gratitude in our culture for their work. In this specific case, at least half of the apple varieties in Brown’s collection were considered “lost” until he personally tracked them down and saved them. He literally went on quests where he did things like, tracking a lost variety back to a stump of a long-ago-cut-down tree near an abandoned homestead in remote Appalachia, took cuttings from the green shoots coming out of the stump, brought them back and planted them. Absolute legend.
