@ChadGriffiths @PermitZIPelec It's so dependent on the programming of the space, but boy having a trench the length of the building can be pretty convenient.
In the end, the biggest impact on drainage is size and slope. Gravity to plumbing is the opposite of the Sun to HVAC. A good friend.
English

@PermitZIPplumb @PermitZIPelec If you were designing a building from scratch which type of drainage system would you install?
Guessing it depends on size and intended use, but have you seen one system that outperforms?

Walked through a facility this morning that integrates two different types of drainage.
The first is a trench sump that runs the width of the warehouse. It works well when there is a lot of water run off such as from vehicles, fork lifts, etc.
It ties into this dual compartment sump which is designed to separate solids (ie/ rocks, pebbles, debris) from liquids.
One thing to check is whether this goes into the municipal stormwater or sanitary system or whether it needs to be manually pumped out.
This particular system does need to be pumped out so it involves more careful monitoring and coordination (and an extra cost).

@wwarreneng I am so sorry Walter. It's just cruel.
But he looks like a very good boy.

@SMB_Attorney I'm still going to pronounce it Jag-U-R either way.
