@theJeremyVine Interestingly, the cyclists are at least cycling to one side of the white lines in the middle of the road. But they are on the right hand side of them, so it’s not a photo taken in Britain!

My local anti-cycling website "One Chiswick" published this today. Who superintends this Facebook page? How does this help make the roads safer for anyone? It's just incredible how much abuse has been uploaded to a site run by outwardly respectable professional people.

@theJeremyVine @noblematt As a daily commuting cyclist, I totally agree. Road markings are often at odds with the old cycling mantra of always keep left. But traffic must always give way to the right at a roundabout, whatever the other road users seeming intentions. Bus driver would have failed his test.

@noblematt This is just nonsense. Making school debating points about my road positioning just avoids the issue here: the bus driver should NEVER have ignored the Give Way.

Oh dear. A highly-respected local doctor says a few brief words online in praise of the new family cycle lane in my neighbourhood — and the result is vitriol on the local anti-cycling website. I really don't think this sort of abuse should be posted.
