If they fudge it now the same way they have fudged it March, what worth would be their words in the future? People in UK seriously underestimate with whom they are dealing.

@Peston If this is true, who needs Russia anymore to manipulate elections? The EU would be taking the box-seat and will prove it was lying about needing a clear strategy FROM the UK to grant an extension. It will be reiterating it's own - prisoner cell block UK !

I am now told by reliable sources that the most likely outcome of the special summit on Wednesday is another kicking of the Brexit can down the road, but only till a bit after the elections for the European Parliament at the end May - so that a potential no-deal Brexit...

Today the Speaker confirmed to me that only statute can overrule statute, therefore the Grieve amendment, or any other amendments, will not have any legislative effect and cannot undo the repeal of the European Communities Act 1972 on the 29th March
