I see Divock Origi has made the bench recently. Remember Dortmund away? Remember the derby goal? The hat trick at Southampton? He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but we could do far worse for a back up striker.

@Dmliverpool1 The part which everyone brings up is how he went on strike at Newcastle to get the move. How many times has that happened to us? Suarez, Mascherano and Coutinho all downed tools. Suarez gave us the extra year to be fair but according to Isak he was promised the move similarly.

@CodoBod There must have been a plan last summer. We’ve proven in the past that our hierarchy don’t usually sign players without knowing what to do with them. Some have said 4/4/2 was the aim. With Wirtz at the tip of a diamond. Who knows? But any team would miss a player Isak’s ability.

@PeterSimmoYNWA My big concern now is a move away from a slow, methodical approach, back to a high press, high intensity with potentially a new coach. The reason Klopp preferred Nuñez to him was that intensity in his game. That style could break him further next season.

@CodoBod That is a better time to judge. Isak is never going to be breaking all time goalscoring records but if we keep him fit he can get 20 plus. He can still have an impact this season too. I’m also hoping Sweden don’t qualify for the World Cup so he has the summer to prepare.

@PeterSimmoYNWA On outlay to current return, surely there can't be a debate to be had. Premature as that may seem. Isak needs to be phenomenal upon his return to justify that expenditure. But that's a big if. His injury record is a bad one, if next season is the same, then what?
