They weren't even counted then. I got 30 goal contributions on my first Liverpool season which ( pundit mode) is fucking AAA class but I felt disappointed because I'd only scored 19 goals versus 22 the season before at Forest. But the reality is was my first Liverpool season was statistically better than my Forest one the season before using goal contributions ( 30 versus 28). So imagine Wirtz or Isak getting 30 goal contributions this season! They'd have a banner on the Kop!!

The fitness thing keeps getting mentioned about LFC. If we don’t train or prepare hard enough or enough in general then surely the hierarchy at the club know about it? A club of LFC’s stature must have some of the best people to get them in top condition for a long season.

@jonathandilf I couldn’t tell you mate but what I will say is that I couldn’t tell you what style it was last season either apart from it being winning football. For me, there was three outstanding performances. United, Spurs and West Ham all away. Everything else was about consistency.

@teaandchips I’m not putting too much faith mate, I just don’t know what goes on behind the scenes to confidently judge the training and preparation methods. Unless people get inside info, I think a lot of that is surmising.

@PeterSimmoYNWA @OneSGW That's why they appoint a manager and coaches, to take care of fitness, training and tactics. Why would a CEO and a Sporting Director be hands on about Wirtz and Isak being able to play 90 minutes of a football match. Accountability falls on the manager for fitness issues.

@johnbrab @DerektheKopRed But why would the powers that be accept that mate? The fitness issues didn’t come up much last season or how many days off they had. If we don’t quite think they are fit enough, why would a manager who has won the league not see it if it was the case?

@PeterSimmoYNWA @DerektheKopRed I think it's quite clear mate it's not up to standard, we were the fittest team in Europe under Jurgan, we had to be for the intensity of our game. This team could not play at that intensity week in week out. McAllister looks like he's pulling a caravan.
