@PhlawlessPharm Find a level one trauma center that’s not in a super popular/large city. I found a primarily ER position and float to trauma and neuro ICU with just a pgy1.

Ugh how can I take care of trauma patients without doing pgy2😢

@DogICUma Just had an attending mention this trial on rounds last week to the residents!

#1: The #HEATtrial (Dec 2015) showed that using paracetamol to treat fever in ICU patients with suspected infections did not affect the number of ICU-free days. Mortality rates were similar in paracetamol & placebo-treated patients: nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

@topknottraveler This is why we standardized all our pressors to the a flat dose/mL instead of weight based. Too many errors.

@PhlawlessPharm @topknottraveler I had this happen, instructed RN to update the pump… 2 hours later it still wasn’t fixed. The RN response “it doesn’t matter what the pump is set at it is dosing mcg/min” … if only our pumps were that smart

@topknottraveler Had an ICU nurse request quad strength pressor and didn’t change the rate on the pump 🙃 I’m so tired of pump errors 🥲
