Even for @PierrePoilievre this is pathetic....US groceries have been cheaper forever...just ask all those close to the border in BC who have crossed the border to buy groceries in the United States for years #cdnpoli

Congratulations to Ping Kitnikone on her appointment as ambassador of Canada to the Kingdom of Thailand. This will be a return to Thailand, since she was posted here previously in a different role. Although @sarahjhtaylor will be missed, @Thai_Canadian and I are very much looking forward to supporting her mission during her posting.

@davidrberry_ @mattdellok Not sure what you mean about apartments only being allowed along arterials. There are multiplexes all through Rockland, mostly converted old stately houses, on main roads and quiet streets. Makes it the second most densely populated neighbourhood in Victoria. 65% in apartments.

@mattdellok Capitol Hill is beautiful and lively! The big takeaway I had while there is how they permit apartments on streets big and small, in Victoria our planning only permits apartments along arterials 😷. Multifamily should be scattered everywhere like it used to be!

I’m very impressed at the missing middle housing in Seattle residential neighbourhoods. Lots of well-designed 3-6 storey buildings that fit nicely into traditional neighbourhoods. This is how we build more affordable housing & walkable/green neighbourhoods! P/1 #seattle

This is a good point, but arguably a damning one. If your dominant models contend that states & leaders don't do stupid things, & that therefore you can ignore repeatedly expressed leader beliefs that suggest they might do something stupid, you're going to miss some big things.

this has been a very strange development on the waterfront... if the ILWU bargaining Caucus rejected the deal, putting the union back on strike, who accepted it last Thursday ? #cdnpoli The feds will now have to legislate an end to the strike, and @PierrePoilievre is back

Sneak peek of the brand new AAA protected bike lane along Fort Street in Victoria. This new route should be opening soon, providing a safer route to a middle school, the hospital, and downtown. I hope to see many more of these protected lanes in the future. #yyj
