President Ruto today said Nairobi’s modern arena and entertainment district should have been developed before Rwanda’s Zaria Court, acknowledging delays in decision-making & bureaucracy slowed Kenya’s progress despite early conceptualisation. In very simple words #RwandaWorks.

On this day in 1994, Belgian peacekeepers withdrew from the ETO Kicukiro School in Kigali, leaving thousands of Tutsis they were protecting to be killed by Interahamwe militias. The world failed to protect innocent lives | Kwibuka32

Join us today for the ‘Walk to Remember’ On April 11, 1994, over 2,000 Tutsi were forced from the former ETO Kicukiro on a systematic "Death March" to Nyanza Hill. Abandoned by the world and pursued by grenades, guns machetes and other weapons. Today, we walk in their memory. 📍 IPRC Kigali → Nyanza-Kicukiro Memorial 🕒 3PM #Kwibuka32

Looking at Rwanda in 1994 during the Genocide against the Tutsi compared to 2026, the difference is undeniable. Rwanda has made a powerful comeback, building peace, driving progress and restoring pride. Today, we pause to honor and never forget. We come together to heal, united in shared courage, choosing renewal and hope for the future. We are a people defined by resilience and rebirth, remembering with purpose and pressing on with determination. With the continued leadership of Paul Kagame, Rwanda keeps advancing and we remain grateful. #Kwibuka32

I wish to express the appreciation of the Government of Rwanda to the @Ashesi University in Ghana, and to its President @PatrickAwuahJr, for erecting this memorial to honor the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, and to pay tribute to the Ghanaian contingent in Rwanda for its bravery. We value this mark of solidarity and this stele of memory, which should be used by young Ghanaians and the Rwandan community in Ghana to remember, unite, renew, while learning lessons from this tragic past. #Kwibuka32

Today, Never Again Rwanda joined its youth community students from high schools and alumni (@NA_communit), youth representatives from Umurunga Family (@UmurungaFamily), Sherrie Silver Foundation (@SherrieSilverFd), and Furaha Ministry at Rebero Genocide Memorial, alongside H.E. Irene Vida Gala (@IVG2909), Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, as Guest of Honor. During the visit, young people toured the memorial site, learnt about its history and significance as a memorial for politicians perpetrated during the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, and laid wreaths. In her address to the young people, H.E. Irene Vida reflected on today’s global realities while reminding the youth of their responsibility to continue building the country and safeguarding its progress. “We are currently living in a world that is perpetrating more genocides. So choose your fights wisely. Learn, understand what’s going on, and choose the good fight. The fight of peace,” she stated. #Kwibuka32 #NeverAgainRwanda

#Rwanda’s Ambassador to #Hungary, Margueritte Francoise Nyagahura, has called for stronger global action against genocide denial and distortion, warning that such narratives continue to undermine historical truth and the dignity of survivors. She made the call on April 10, 2026, during a solemn ceremony marking the 32nd commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, held in Budapest. The event, organized by the Embassy of Rwanda in Hungary, brought together diplomats, Hungarian officials, members of the Rwandan community, survivors, and friends of Rwanda in a moment of remembrance and reflection. @RwandaInHungary @uwanyagahura #Kwibuka32 *Full article & photos*⤵️⤵️ en.igihe.com/people/article…
