Why DeFi's Revival is Underestimated The Real Story Unfolding Now 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗙𝗶'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘄 Forget what you think you know about the state of DeFi. While many are dismissing Decentralized Finance as a bubble that has burst, there’s a quieter renaissance underway. The space is evolving, with new protocols emerging that are redefining traditional finance's paradigms and offering scalable solutions. The narrative needs to shift because the fundamentals are stronger than ever. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 DeFi is no longer solely about high APY yield farming schemes. Now, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗙𝗶 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The focus is shifting toward sustainable models that integrate traditional finance with blockchain technology. Companies are exploring tokenized equities, lending platforms with solid credit narratives, and insurance solutions that are on-chain. The 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 continues to be a powerhouse for DeFi innovation. With recent upgrades, its scalability is set to accommodate a wave of new users and applications. Notably, projects are emerging across sectors like supply chain, real estate, and insurance, emphasizing the potential of on-chain solutions. 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 Ignoring the resurgence in DeFi means missing out on a seismic shift in finance. With a sense of resilience and innovative spirit penetrating the space, we are on the brink of experiencing how DeFi can reshape economic models globally. Are you still on the sidelines? The revival is here, and it’s time to get involved. What are your thoughts on the future of DeFi?

Crossroads turns (nearly) every cryptocurrency into an ERC-20 token on a unified platform. Applications include private payments, cross-chain DEXes, and a universal faucet (good for AI agents). Blockchain integration is permissionless, extending reach across the full ecosystem.
IC3@initc3org

1/ The DeFi UX is fundamentally broken. Despite extensive work on cross-chain bridging, moving assets remains cumbersome, expensive, and centralized. Most bridges act as gatekeepers, permissioning only a few major ecosystems. New IC3 research, "Crossroads," changes this:

I get it, and ape is an ape. But should there be tiers to ApeFest? Think of an exclusive BAYC event. That would be dope.

Don't let anyone convince you that Bitcoin belongs to Wall Street or big corporations. Its strength comes from the millions of people around the world who wake up every day and earn, save, stack, and hold. You matter. Bitcoin has always been a grassroots monetary revolution.

DeFi has historically been hamstrung by only having access to a tiny set of quality assets. Besides a few majors and stables, pretty much every other on-chain asset has a crazy drag on it, maybe -30%/yr. Now we are getting high quality representations of high quality assets on-chain. The case for permissionless innovation over a diverse asset layer has never been stronger. Only on @solana.
Sunrise@sunrise

Sunrise has listed $SKHY on @Solana. SK Hynix is the leading supplier of the HBM behind AI compute. Today is its first US listing. Issued by @Backpack Securities, $SKHY brings a tokenized SK Hynix share onchain. Sunrise makes it tradable across Solana wallets and app, 24/7.

@stacy_muur Seems onchain options volume is still very tiny compared to perps.

I don't think enough people are talking about options trading in crypto. Right now, onchain options are doing around $525M in 7-day notional volume, still very tiny compared to perps. Derive is essentially the only major protocol focusing on onchain options, capturing 93% of market share. There's an obvious question of why crypto options haven't reached mainstream yet, despite doing billions of volume in TradFi. I personally think it's a symbiosis of product fit, initial adoption of perps, and simply visibility. I bet most people in crypto didn't even know they exist. They just need more adoption, and I think such listings are a good way to get it.

Too many AI models. Here’s the simple router: ChatGPT: GPT-5.6 Sol → hardest coding, research & agent work GPT-5.6 Terra → everyday serious work GPT-5.6 Luna → fast, cheap, high-volume tasks GPT-5.5 → keep it where your existing workflows already work Codex → give an entire repo a job and let it execute Claude: Claude Fable → long-running agents + highest-stakes judgment Claude Opus → deep work in stacks already tuned for it Claude Sonnet → daily coding + writing Claude Haiku → extraction, classification & background tasks Other: GLM-5.2 → long-context coding agents on a budget Gemini 3.5 Flash → multimodal work + fast agent loops SuperGrok → real-time web & 𝕏 research Grok Build → agentic coding DeepSeek V4 / Qwen → open models + cheap self-hosted work Bonus: Use GPT-5.6 Sol or Claude Fable when judgment matters. Use GPT-5.6 Luna or Claude Haiku when the work repeats. Use GPT-5.6 Sol as a subagent for Claude Fable.

@opensea mobile may help with this to a degree with a built in evm wallet that you can fund via Apple Pay and then purchase. A few taps. Good for MAYC for sure. Have a referral code if you want to check that out. But I think that buying a BAYC should be a white glove experience similar to a high end luxury watch and a white glove service to individuals that are referred through other BAYC members would be an exquisite addition.

There is pent up demand for @BoredApeYC that are not being met due to the friction of buying. On a business call now with people wanting to go to Apefest. No idea on how to buy an NFT and tbh, I don't want to take them down that path. A white glove service is much needed.
