@Bryanthetyrant This is the same process for all counties in Washington State. Vote by mail is a different process than Florida.

@PierceCountyAud Up to the 25th of November. The entire state of Florida completed its count in a day. Pierce County as a whole has a population of 931,000 people. This process should not take weeks! Reminding me of the Dino Rossi matter all over again....

@Bryanthetyrant A postmark of Nov 5 (election day) is a valid ballot and we will count it. Anything with a postmark after election day will not be counted. We also count ballots that were challenged and have been cured. Valid ballots will be counted up until Nov 25. Results are final on Nov 26

@PierceCountyAud Why did you delete a post that I had commented on questioning the length of this process? In the comment on the deleted post you mentioned "with a valid postmark"? What does that exactly mean? A post mark AFTER the election date? Also you should not be counting votes...

@Bryanthetyrant We collected 125,000 ballots on election night. Those take time to process. We also count every ballot we receive in the mail with a valid postmark, as well as ballots that were challenged but have been cured.

Another successful post-election audit! Our political observers selected random batches of ballots for a hand count and the results were compared to the results of the machine count from the selected batch. You can view the results of the audit at PierceCountyElections.org

If your signature was challenged because you did not sign your envelope, sign that form the way you normally sign.

@b_barr00 Yes! If you're registered to vote in Washington, you can use any drop box in the state and your ballot will get routed to the correct county. Thanks for the good question!

@PierceCountyAud Can Pierce county residents drop their ballots off in a different county? I work in King and those boxes are much closer than detouring to Pierce on my way home
