If you park on Jude’s Green Hut rank to go get a free breakfast you’re a cunt. Probably don’t ever even buy a tea off her. Cunts ✅

Come with me as I commute from home in Swindon to Westminster 🚴‍♀️ After launching the Government’s new Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS), the journey was a good reminder of why active travel matters.

In Clarkson’s Farm, @JeremyClarkson shared that he has had prostate cancer. We are grateful to him for raising awareness of the UK’s most common cancer in men. We wish him well and hope his story encourages more men to think about their prostate health. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@jan_murray You are using your mastectomy as an expression of identity now though Janet. You are putting it at the forefront of your campaign conflating unrelated trans-themed cartoons in shop windows to cancer and trying to guilt-trip businesses into removing and apologising for them.

Next week (June 24) marks the first anniversary of my breast cancer diagnosis. Thankfully mine was caught early and treatable, but it still involved invasive surgery that I am still recovering from. It wasn't a fad, a fashion accessory or an expression of identity. Which is why I was saddened to see a High Street retailer like Lush apparently glorifying imagery associated with mastectomy as part of a Pride display. And judging by the many messages and emails I've received over the past few days, I'm far from alone. Good to see @telegraph covering the story. Gift link below 👇

⚠️ Hundreds of parcels have been destroyed in a lorry fire on the M25 this morning. There are severe delays on the motorway in Essex due to TWO separate lorry fires at different locations. The motorway has been closed anti-clockwise in Essex between J28 for Brentwood and J27 for Epping, due to the first fire. It’s also closed anti-clockwise between J27 for Epping and J26 for Waltham Abbey, due to the second fire. As of 8am, there are delays of 72 minutes on approach, with 5 miles of congestion. Specialist recovery crews are working at the scene to remove the HGV and its contents. Rayleigh-based TJ Cottis are one of the companies providing emergency clean up operations at the scene.

As a woman who's had breast cancer, a double mastectomy and carries the BRCA2 gene mutation, I don't need you to speak for me, thanks.
Janet Murray@jan_murray

Dear Lush (cc Chelmsford City Council), As a woman who had half a breast removed last year due to cancer, I am writing to raise my concerns about your “Proud of My Stripes” window display. I am also, on behalf of other women who have experienced breast cancer, respectfully requesting its removal. Because mastectomies are not a fashion statement, an identity marker or something to be celebrated. They are something women undergo because they are ill, because they are frightened, because they are trying to stay alive. Around 59,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year. Many will undergo surgery - a mastectomy, lumpectomy or other procedure. Others choose preventive mastectomies because they carry a high-risk BRCA gene mutation. If a woman chooses to have her breasts removed to affirm a gender identity, that is her personal choice. I honestly don’t know the number of women who have elective mastectomies for this reason. What I do know is that it is a tiny number compared with those for whom breast surgery is medically necessary and not something to be celebrated. I think I speak for many women who have experienced breast cancer - and for their families - when I say this: Breast removal surgery is not something I regard as cute, playful or empowering. Nor is it something I believe retailers should be celebrating. For that reason, I am requesting that the display be removed and that @ChelmsCouncil apologise for promoting it on social media. Yours sincerely, Janet Murray
