Hey PenutBros™, time for another life update. Unfortunately I come bearing some rough news. I have been diagnosed with Leptomeningeal Disease, caused from the advancement of my Melanoma. At this point my care is only palliative, to give me an easier end of life experience. (1/5)

At this point we don't plans for me to ever return to my home. Whether I have weeks or months left, it will be spent in the care of a hospital or hospice. So there really isn't room for any big final send off, but we are looking into some smaller scale options.

Normally I consider myself pretty imperturbable, but this week has been plenty full of hardships, capped off by possibly my worst day ever today. All I can say is find those you love and hold them dear. Sometimes people just need that bit of support to keep on going. ♡

And if the worst case scenario is realized, I still look forward to my next 6-12 months with everyone. That's the time I was quoted, and I've made my peace with it as long as Oda DMs me what the One Piece is and I can comm all those artists who never seem to open slots??

I am, of course, hopeful still. I have 2 good medical trials available, as well as a less promising 3rd option. This isn't the first time I've had this kind of news, although this is the bleakest it's been. Yet Whim has made clear I'm not allowed to give up on anything.

I ask that no one bring it up to Whim unless she opens that door first. It's going to be a rough few months and she deserves nothing less than the support of everyone around her. I will mostly be taking an indefinite hiatus from streams, but I may try to make one here or there.

My left axilla hosts the opposite issue. A single tumor measuring around 7cm / 2.7 inches across. It does not appear operable at this time. There are still options in the form of trial drugs, but their efficiency is questionable, and will be adding a lot of stress to Whim and I.

I met with my oncologist today in relation to a CT scan a week ago that showed troubling results. My melanoma has spread to both lungs, my left axilla, and potentially my head. I have at least 10 lesions in each lung, however they are all small (11mm at their largest).

This one is a bit hard to say for the PenutBros™, but I want to give an update on my current health. My melanoma has spread significantly and I will need some time to really put my focus fully into it. Please don't bother Whim about it in any way. Her plate is full enough. (1/?)
