Happy St Andrew's Day to everyone. Today @PollokFan and I are delighted to announce the publication of our new book. This is the anniversary of the 1st international match in 1872, and the 1st player featured in the book is Joe Taylor, Scotland full back in that game. 1/4

In truth, twenty or more Scottish parks could have been chosen for the book such is the wealth of it's characterful football homes. Friends- with deep sorrow and a broken heart -I have to tell you that my darling wife of 29 years - Gill- passed away on Friday a month after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This horrible disease needs to be eradicated - please help me by contributing in Gills memory-

Alan has been discharged from hospital today to continue his recovery at home. Alan, Janet, Adam, Lucy and family would like to thank everybody for their wonderful messages of love and support. It has been overwhelming and has helped enormously ❤️

@Detroit67Book @StJohnstone Thanks, Stuart. I believe that Sandy is buried in Wellshill Cemetery - I haven't had a chance yet to head over that way to find out if he has a headstone or not.

@PollokFan Lovely to see Willie's headstone Martin. The only time that two @StJohnstone players have started for Scotland - goalkeeper Sandy McLaren was the other.

Headed through to Fife earlier in the week to pay my respects to Scotland's first ever goalscorer against Germany. Bill Imrie headed home a late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw in Berlin in 1929.

@mpbthursday @gedboy58 Stopped at John Thomson's grave in Cardenden on the way. The route to Methil was through Cluny rather than Kinglassie though.

@PollokFan @gedboy58 Where is that Martin? I grew up in a central Fife village with a big family of Imries. Older lad in school was Willie so the family might have been connected.
