Today I found an alternative to Docker Desktop.
Rancher Desktop:

So far I am happy with it.
I am curious. What are you using for local development? 🤔

You are sick of updating all the third party dependencies in your Java application manually?
I can recommend to automate that by using:
🤖 github.com/renovatebot/re… which is CI independent
🤖 or when using Github, include github.com/dependabot

@javinpaul @DZoneInc Hello 👋,
good overview on JVM frameworks and thanks for recommending my courses.
The description for Micronaut is outdated as the latest version is already 3.x. Could you update your blog post to reflect the lastest state?

@jamesqquick Most of the time I am using the CLI.
It is often faster to use, allows automation and comes with a good description for every command.💡
GUIs are great to display graphs/reports. 📊

@brunolellis @alexey_soshin @springframework @vertx_project What did you try so far?
Vert.x has a build in blocked thread checker, which will show issues if you execute blocking code on an event loop. You could configure it more aggressively to see issues earlier.
Regarding the throughput, did you add custom monitoring / tracing?
English

@alexey_soshin @springframework @vertx_project I’ve been using vertx for more than 2 years now and it is very interesting, although I think it is really hard to spot bottlenecks or blocking code. I am kind of stuck on how to increase system’s throughput

Spent the last 8 months working on the 2nd Edition of my #Kotlin book.
The book is ready, so I'm back to writing articles 😄
The first article for the year addressed benchmarking of @springframework and @vertx_project

Great work 🙌
I like that the default producer configs adapted to acks=all & enable.idempotence=true
When using Kafka v2, I would recommend to set this producer settings as well 😉
