While I'm disappointed that my Democrat colleagues walked away from the negotiating table and chose to vote against this commonsense bill, the health and well-being of our children is too important. @LumosSeeker @TutaPrivacy The idea is that it'll run locally, client-side, so they don't have to read your email to determine spam. Any encrypted email service can read non-encrypted email before they encrypt it; at that point, it's about trust.

@MyStartMail Phrasing it like "Proton Mail has helped the FBI..." implies they helped directly; they didn't. Stuff like this happens all the time to every company. Even your own ToS, "Compliance with Legitimate Requests by Authorities," says you would do the same thing if legally compelled
