Rebuilding the nuclear fuel cycle is going to be challenging, but the reason we believe it can be done is that our team has experience in a key area: building and commercializing complex chemical and electrochemical technologies. Many of those lessons came from earlier ventures like Catalytic Innovations, a hardware startup spun out of @Yale in 2015 by @ProjectOmegaHQ founder @staffsheehan. The team built the company into a real industrial technology business developing the systems, understanding production, raising capital, delivering to customers, and scaling advanced hardware. Catalytic Innovations has been successfully acquired by a group of chemical and sustainability businesses ensuring these capabilities will continue serving customers across the chemical industry. Global energy demand is accelerating. Nuclear remains one of the few proven, scalable sources of reliable, clean energy.  Yet, for decades, the back end of the fuel cycle has not moved beyond interim storage. I'm excited to announce an investment in @Project-Omega-HQ as they come out of stealth to change that.
