America invented drones. Then China took 70% of the market while we debated permits. The airspace below 500 feet is the most valuable undeveloped real estate in the country, and we're not even allowed to use it. New deep dive from @angelesahr on why the low-altitude economy is a $1T+ infrastructure layer hiding in plain sight. See reply for full deck.

The threat isnt that AI makes bad decisions. Its that the workflows AI is being dropped into were already wrong. Enterprises are automating the wrong thing at scale. @wquist

google finally admitting the hard part isn't buying the ad, it's knowing what to do with the dial. distribution stays the moat even when AI writes the creative. steering is just a fancier word for lock-in. who actually benefits here, the advertiser or google? @lessin

Value will accrue to the prompt... The most value has always accrued to the creative, to the person who does something subjective and wildly correct. Its just that until now, they needed a lot of help bringing it too life. Maybe they take 10-20% and the system takes the rest. AI is going to flip that. 80% of the value will accrue to the 'prompt'...

.@slow creator fund backs deep communities with real-world products. We just backed America's most trusted boating group: Center Consoles Only (CCO) Alan Blanco started making boat review videos in 2016. Today, he and the team operate three businesses under their holding company: > CCO Media: 1.5M followers, the most trusted voice in center console boating > Orion Boatworks: their own boat brand, already doing millions in revenue > BoatsOnly: a (much needed) modern, social, and community-powered alternative to legacy listing platforms Alan Blanco and team did all of this profitably before raising outside capital

The best creators don't just build audiences. They build vertically integrated businesses. Alan Blanco started making boat review videos in 2016. Today they operate three killer businesses under their holding company Center Consoles Only (CCO): > CCO Media - 1.5M followers, the most trusted voice in center console boating > Orion Boatworks - their own boat brand, already doing millions in revenue > BoatsOnly - a marketplace launching into a $55B category Alan Blanco, Brian Gonzalez, and Eric Taggart did all of this profitably before taking outside capital. This is exactly why the Slow Creator Fund exists. $2.5M to help them build the category-defining platform in marine. See replies for more.

How to Price Out-Of-The-Money Seed Investment (Call Options) This was fun - came up in an interview I just did as a way to think about the world of seed investing… At seed you are evaluating 2 things… (1) quality of idea and (2) quality of founder. If you assume that there are structural reasons that seed will be overpriced … AND assume that you don’t have an information edge (which is the actual game)… then it looks something like this

The death of SaaS narrative -- my big 'viral' call on it was Sept, 2024 -- but what is soo cool about having all my content wired up into claude is tracing the lineage of the thinking back to 2017.

America is sitting on $500B worth of energy, but many people consider it waste that should be buried. Today, while AI, manufacturing, and electrification push the grid to its limits, there is another option for fueling these innovation generators. @ProjectOmegaHQ has the solution: U.S. used nuclear fuel still holds over 90% of its original energy. Decades of power, already stored here in the U.S. With a newly announced @ARPAE contract and more, Omega is rebuilding the nuclear fuel cycle, turning so-called “waste” into continuous, carbon-free power. The nuclear waste we locked up is the fuel that wins the century. Join us in making this a reality. In 3 weeks we're hosting cyber founders, operators, and investors to discuss and debate how AI is creating new surface area and challenges for security. There are trillions of market cap up for grabs over the next decade.

There are trillions of cyber market cap up for grabs because of how wholly ill suited the cyber oligopoly is for AI There will be multiple (many) new cyber companies built to purpose for emergent vulnerabilities, behaviors, surface area, and vectors.
