From Feb 01, 2025, BTLG will screen across Slovakia (so sensitively dubbed, ensuring nothing is lost in translation) and this is a trailer. If you read the post below, you can understand how encouraging this feels. Little me is happy and so immensely proud. As am I! :)

In some personal and professional news, I have something exciting to share. It's been more than a decade since I began making films. Over the years, I’ve undergone a profound transformation—not just as a filmmaker, but also as a perpetual student of life. Every film has taught me something new, something that’s made the next one better. Honestly, I can’t think of a single project where I didn’t come out the other side a little more evolved, no matter how long it took to finish. Lately, I’ve been reflecting: after about 12 films and countless videos,I’m finally getting the hang of this. LOL! Through films, I have connected with myself more deeply, and with that, I have grown so fond of myself. It feels almost like penance for the times I wasn’t able to be fully present for the younger version of me decades ago. I’m not being hard on myself or anything—I just think she deserved better. And somehow, through filmmaking, I feel like I’m reconnecting with her. That’s not to say the journey has been without its struggles. I still wrestle with my share of inner demons, but when I first started, those battles were worse. I always joke that I was "born an adult," constantly critiquing myself (to the point of self-hate sometimes) based on how others viewed me. I never gave myself the chance to just be a kid. Back then, I didn’t think I was good at anything, and I guess that’s why I’ve always struggled with accepting praise or compliments. It’s wild how cruel this is! Now, as I am pushing 40, I can see how far I’ve come. I chase after the memory of her as it fades into oblivion and try to store it in little smiles and sighs when I edit a film. Life really is funny sometimes, and to that end, I am thrilled to share a milestone. My film, Behind The Looking Glass, has received its first significant recognition in the world of film and TV. Starting this January, BTLG will stream in the Slovak and Czech regions across various OTT, TV, AVOD, SVOD, FVOD, and mobile platforms - for three years! For the first time, I’m calling it 'my' film because I want to crush the temptation to dissociate, and revel at the path travelled instead. I am proud of how hard I work. I marvel at my iron will. And more importantly, I am excited to celebrate this accomplishment with all of you. Sure, in the world of Netflix and Amazon, this might seem small. But for me, it’s huge. And for once, I’m pausing to say, "You did good." Little me would be proud too. At least, I hope so.

We interviewed 45 women who had escaped prostitution. Our research supports what survivors have been teaching us for decades: the specific acts perpetrated by sex buyers against prostituted women are legally defined as torture. #NordicModel Read more: buff.ly/41aQOiv

New research on prostitution and torture, designed by PRE, written by Melissa Farley and Alexis Kennedy, demonstrates clearly that what happens daily in prostitution is currently legally defined as torture. #NordicModel buff.ly/41aQOiv

@UNSRVAW Kudos and many thanks for your work on behalf of survivors who seek escape from prostitution. Women must be offered the CHOICE not to prostitute - exit programs provide an immediate and necessary support.

@ninahartman14 @ModelRevealed @ExodusCry Farley didn't learn about prostitution in school. She learned by listening to exited survivors who were not under pimp control. And, with colleagues in a dozen countries, she has interviewed hundreds of survivors.
