By the 1930s many Western intellectuals reluctantly realised that classical Marxism had failed and the proletariat wasn’t revolting. But then a group of exiled German Marxists led by Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, Erich Fromm and Herbert Marcuse decided to change the battlefield. Instead of economics, they targeted the “cultural superstructure”: family, religion, tradition, sexual norms and the very idea of objective truth. Their weapon was Critical Theory - a relentless campaign of negative criticism designed to portray every Western institution as inherently oppressive and capitalism as not just economically flawed, but psychologically and morally corrupt. Marcuse gave the strategy its most powerful tactical manual in his 1965 essay “Repressive Tolerance”: true liberation, he argued, required “liberating tolerance” - tolerance only for progressive ideas and outright intolerance for conservative or “regressive” ones. Free speech, in other words, was only legitimate when it served the revolution. The intellectual poison of the Frankfurt School was extraordinarily influential and as its graduates and intellectual heirs colonised universities, media, NGOs and corporate HR departments, Critical Theory evolved into today’s identity politics, DEI mandates and cancel culture - a cultural Marxism that attacks the individual in the name of group grievance. What began with a small circle of German émigrés in the 1930s now shapes the moral vocabulary of much of the Western elite. The result has been a softer, more pervasive authoritarianism: the dictatorship of the politically correct.

@MichaelGLFlood Isn't it telling that, whereas the journalist details who backs legislation gives rights to sex workers, she does not say a word on the philantropists, religious orders, political parties etc. that are funding anti-prostitution laws all over the world?

@GayeDalton @egalite_gouv It seems to be a common thread among abolitionists around the world: "I think of course the law has negative consequences for women in prostitution, but that's also the effect we want to achieve with the law." - Ann Martin, Stockholm police

@CathyReisenwitz Anti-prostitution laws, however, protect the self-interest of the majority of each constituency in the West: middle-class women. And each politician knows this very well.

Honestly I’m so disinterested in civilians’ opinions about sex workers at this point. The only thing I care about is the fact that decriminalizing and destigmatizing sex work leads to better and safer outcomes for us. Read about that.

Heather Mac Donald dropped a firecracker on John Stossel: universities are now run by a culture of emotional safety and equity, and she says the massive rise in female influence is the driving force behind it. Portraits of legendary male scientists are coming down because they might “trigger” female students. Polls show men overwhelmingly pick truth and academic freedom; women prioritize feelings and fairness. No overlap. She argues this is fatal for universities, whose only job is the ruthless pursuit of truth, not comfort. And she’s calling on parents and men to push back harder, even at home. If we trade uncomfortable discovery for emotional protection, we’re quietly breaking the institution that’s supposed to advance knowledge for everyone. I’ve been chewing on how stark these preference gaps are between men and women in institutions. This one made me rethink what “progress” actually looks like here. Do you believe universities should put emotional safety first, or is that a dangerous tradeoff?

@MiiChan1996_ Indeed, the survey is on harassers who operate in a pack. The survey reveals that 95% of them are women, aged between 25 and 60 years. These include mothers as well as grandmothers.

@ModelRevealed From what I’ve seen across studies on gendered aggression, women’s online harassment often plays out more collectively: peer-driven pile-ons, social policing, and group dynamics. Men’s harassment tends to be more direct, individualistic, and impulsive.

Like most #EqualityModel countries, #France is a pimp state. Despite denying sex workers all rights and criminalising their clients, @gouvernementFR claimed €156.000 from a sex worker for not declaring her revenue. She has been sentenced to prison and a fine.
