Question for anybody who was 21+ around 99-01. Was there a huge separation from the Neo Soul fans and the mainstream fans? Were there any parties or clubs that would play Common, Slum, D’Angelo, Erykah, but ALSO Nelly, Destiny’s child, Jay-Z, or whoever was heavy on radio?
