Ted Cruz, 10 years ago today:
“I want to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar...He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth…The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist at a level I don't think this country has ever seen”

America should be taking leadership in Ukraine’s fight for its independence and democracy, but Trump has pulled out because he’d rather ingratiate himself to a dictator in Moscow.
Trump’s abandonment of Ukraine will go down in history as one of the worst foreign policy decisions of his presidency. wsj.com/world/europe/u…

@bayraktar_1love @sheswings Lol lol I thought you were joking. I hope Russia treats Ukrainian POW a half decent of this.

Four Russian soldiers surrendered near the Antonivskyi Bridge on the Dnipro River, across from Kherson, after a loudspeaker drone operated by Ukraine’s 34th Marine Brigade offered them the chance to surrender.
Following instructions broadcast from the drone, they moved to a designated point, were ferried across the river, and taken into custody.
🍔 As a bonus for choosing to surrender voluntarily, they received a McDonald’s meal.

A Russian woman is going viral posting anti-Putin rants, today saying that the money they spend on war for a single day could fix the teeth of every pensioner in Russia, and that she doesn't need Ukraine and isn't giving her son's to "Putin's ass" just to come home in a bodybag.
The woman then wishes the people of Ukraine "good health".

@DavidoPolice @mouvement33 He pumped up our spirits no matter who you were. ‘Yes, you can’ was a symbol of people’s hope and belief. He was an extraordinary speaker and he still is. I miss him and I know many do.

Many Americans today have mixed opinions about Barack Obama. Some admire him, others criticize him. But for those of us who come from outside, the reality is often different.
Believe it or not, no American president has ever left such a strong impression around the world as Barack Obama. He embodied hope, respect, intelligence, and dialogue. He represented a powerful image of America: open, inspiring, and close to the people.
For many of us, Obama was not just a president; he was a symbol. A symbol that everything is possible, that social background, skin color, or personal history should never be limits.
He restored confidence to millions of young people around the world. He spoke to the world with dignity, calm, and responsibility. He knew how to unite instead of divide.
No matter the internal political debates, internationally, Barack Obama will forever remain one of the most respected, loved, and admired American presidents.
His legacy goes beyond borders. And his name will remain engraved in history.

Love is stronger than war.
Wounded, with a bullet still in his body, Andrii Subotin “Boroda” crossed bunkers just to see Valeriia — a fellow defender, his love, his strength.
Mariupol defenders. Border guard and Azov press officer.
He — a lawyer. She — a journalist.
He proposed with handmade foil rings.
May 5, 2022 — they married at Azovstal. Two days later, he was killed in action.
Valeriia “Nava” kept fighting.
Captured on May 17.
11 months in hell.
She made it back.
Their love survived siege, death, and captivity.
Remember their names.

SEN. BLUMENTHAL: Ukraine not only not been "militarily defeated", but in fact, Ukraine arguably is winning.
There is false narrative that Russia is winning. Putin wants that false narrative to be American official narrative.
American people should know that President of United States is undermining our security.
Ukraine is holding the line against Putin, who will keep going against Moldova, against our NATO allies.
We still have obligation under Article 5 to come to their defense, just as they did after 9/11, as King Charles so eloquently reminded us.
And my view is, and this observation is hardly novel, that China is watching what we're doing in Ukraine.

This is why.
When some russian in a hotel asks me why I do not want to talk to him, when some European asks me why I am not "tolerant" – the answer is in this photo.
There are thousands of such kids in Ukraine whose parents were killed simply because russians followed their crazy tsar instead of stopping him.
The russian army is 2.4 million. Most of them have been to Ukraine. The police is about 1 million. There are also smaller forces – FSB (200 thousand), National Guard (340 thousand) and others. So we are already at more than four million people involved.
And then count those who work as subcontractors for the army. Those who work in weapons factories. Count the government and everyone working for it. You get every 10th adult russian working for the war. 30% of russia's budget is spent on it.
This is not "Putin's war," this is "every russian's war."
So when I meet a russian man in some hotel, I know there is a 10% chance he is directly involved. And the remaining 90% support it –
by action or inaction.
So how should I treat them?
If he wants a conversation, he should start by asking for forgiveness and condemning their army and their regime. In all other cases, I won't even talk to such a person.
