Insane experience with people with zero civic sense when traveling in Vietnam > be me > on Ha Long Bay cruise in Vietnam > only one public lounge on the whole boat > 10 families quietly enjoying the scenery > six aunties in their 50s roll up > full “Bollywood wife” energy > spend first hour doing makeup and taking 400 selfies > talking at 90 decibels about their “acting careers” > “we know Anil Kapoor personally” > mfw they never actually acted in anything > think it can’t get worse > it gets worse > they start SINGING full volume bollywood songs > in the quiet lounge > everyone else sits in stunned silence > families exchanging glances like “is this real” > crew tries to shut them down > aunties completely immune > main character syndrome too powerful

Let’s face it, The Wire’s problem is not that Dhurandhar is loud or unsubtle. It’s that it shows Pakistan as the enemy. Even a Shyam Benegal or Satyajit Ray could not direct this film to The Wire’s liking. It’s not the quality. It’s the subject.
