QRL: The Quantum Resistant Ledger
Quantum computing might be incredibly complex, but securing your project from the Quantum Threat doesn’t need to be. $QRL offers comprehensive documentation, APIs, and tools to streamline building, deploying, and managing quantum-secure digital assets. #PQcrypto #QuantumComputing #Y2Q

I'M BETTING ON 2 THINGS IN CRYPTO, THAT'S IT $XMR - If quantum never happens, this is the strongest, most battle tested money. $QRL - if "harvest now, decrypt later" is as concerning as people say, this is my plan B. The only real quantum-proof crypto retirement

QRL: The Quantum Resistant Ledger
Earlier this week, two papers from overlapping author groups landed within hours of each other. Together, they represent the most significant single-day contribution to quantum cryptanalysis of blockchain systems to date. We should engage with them seriously, and precisely 👇 theqrl.org/blog/two-paper…

$QRL (quantum-resistant ledger) could be the biggest play of our lives Like a genuine 1,000X on the table it's the only blockchain since block 1 that's secure from quantum threats If a project NEEDS to fork, the pre-fork wallets and on-chain data is vulnerable

QRL: The Quantum Resistant Ledger
From ancient beginnings to the digital age and into the quantum era, the journey of cryptography is a tale of secrets, their keepers, and the quest for security that spans centuries. youtube.com/watch?v=U0m65t… Learn how ancient civilisations laid the groundwork for the modern cryptography we rely on today in episode 1 of our History of Cryptography: Behind the Code series. $QRL #PQcrypto #Cryptography #Blockchain $BTC #PQC

Quantum-safety is the future 🦾 $QRL getting increased attention and mentions. "While the broader market followed bitcoin lower, one token stood out. QRL, the native cryptocurrency of the Quantum Resistant Ledger, has surged 40% in 24 hours. @QRLedger coindesk.com/daybook-us/202…

makes sense. but while most are still “starting to look into it”, there’s already a live L1 built entirely on hash-based signatures (XMSS) — no ECDSA exposure, no migration risk: QRL. and with Zond (testnet V2) moving toward PoS + smart contracts, it’s not just secure — it’s evolving. not a future upgrade. already running. if you’re serious about solving this sooner rather than later, this should be on your radar as a high-quality PQC benchmark.
Brian Armstrong@brian_armstrong

Going to start spending time on this personally - seems like we all need to solve it sooner rather than later.

this reads less like analysis and more like coping. yes, scaling is hard. everyone knows that. but both papers aren’t about if — they’re about reducing the gap to when. “not proven at scale” is not a safety guarantee. it’s just a countdown with uncertainty. and that’s the part you’re downplaying. because the risk isn’t “quantum tomorrow”. it’s that the window to react might be far shorter than expected. meanwhile bitcoin is still sitting on ECDSA. no deployed PQC. no real migration plan. just assumptions. that’s not a strategy. that’s hope. serious capital doesn’t run on hope — it hedges. QRL already exists. XMSS. quantum-resistant by design. even referenced in the google paper. you don’t need to be 100% convinced. you just need to not be 100% exposed.

2 new quantum computing papers just dropped. Is crypto cooked? Google says they designed quantum circuits that could break ECC in a few minutes with 500,000 physical qubits: a 20-fold reduction from previous work. Oratomic says they could break ECC in a few days with 26,000 neutral-atom physical qubits. These papers both show advancements in algorithmic efficiency and quantum computing theory, but one should not overlook the assumptions underlying these claims. The authors have improved upon techniques shown to work at small scale, but we have no proof they can be scaled up. In other words, we're at the stage where scientists have created a few transistors but are still trying to figure out how to fabricate a fully functioning silicon chip with tons of transistors working together simultaneously. Progress is clearly continuing. How long do we have before a cryptographically relevant quantum computer can be built? That's still anyone's guess.

Face for radio, but the point still stands, Google have set their PQC timelines to 2029. The two papers this week, Google's partial pivot to neutral atom quantum computing. The question is do one of the world leading quantum computing builders know something we don't? Probably

🔐 GOOGLE VALIDATES CARDANO AS SECOND-MOST QUANTUM-READY BLOCKCHAIN Tech titan Google ranks $ADA as the #2 quantum-ready blockchain, spotlighting its advanced defenses against future quantum threats. This positions Cardano as a top contender for institutional trust in a rapidly evolving crypto landscape. This recognition signals a new standard for blockchain security.

GOOGLE’S QUANTUM BREAKTHROUGH THREATENS CRYPTO SECURITY Breaking: Google’s latest quantum computing method could disrupt encryption standards across the crypto ecosystem. Details are scarce, raising serious concerns about transparency and post-quantum readiness. ⚠️ While Bitcoin faces no immediate risk, 30–35% of its supply tied to older keys is theoretically vulnerable. Altcoins and blockchain protocols like $ETH and $SOL may face similar challenges if upgrades lag. ⏰ This is a wake-up call for the entire industry to accelerate cryptographic innovation

this is straight up misinformation. google didn’t “rank” anything. and they definitely didn’t crown Cardano as #2. read the paper. category 1 = actual post-quantum blockchains → including Quantum Resistant Ledger $qrl category 2 = systems trying to reduce exposure → that’s where cardano sits… next to bitcoin & doge. that’s not “quantum-ready”. that’s “maybe less exposed if everything goes perfectly”. and even google points out: staking & governance keys = still exposed. so no — cardano isn’t #2. it’s not even in the same category. one is built post-quantum from genesis. the other is hoping migration works in time. big difference.
