Yes the child needs to be removed from the mother, It’s a shitty situation all around & not far to the grandmother. When the options presented are either you take custody of your grandchild or she get sent to a shelter it’s not a choice. Atleast it’s not for me nor my family, immediate or otherwise. The kid is coming with me no matter what I have to do. Sending her to the system, esp a girl might as well be a death sentence for her future. When you have a social worker pleading with you to take her I really can’t imagine being so heartless as to not accept that this are the cards I’ve unfortunately been dealt.

Yup 100%. I sadly am circumcised refused to mutilate my son when we was born last summer. So thankful for the decision now more than ever.
