Maybe taxpayers should just pay for a down payment on a home for everyone, or heck why not just give everyone a car, or free gym memberships. Taxpayer funded programs always inflate prices, that free community college will translate in tuition inflation for the remainder of the bachelors degree.

Tennessee has a program called "Tennessee promise" it gives free Community College tuition for every resident. Keep in mind there is no state income tax as well. Why doesn’t every state have this?

@Jr1776 @KeeronDoig @ianfranklin @BritisherPaz49 Why are men gonna risk their lives for worthless bitches? Men stormed Normandy because they had something WORTH dying for. Now they got nose ring wearing twerking hogs and retarded ass people bringing dogs to a playground without a leash.

@SquirrelTew @ClayTravis If Nashville wants them the can be the Nashville Grizzlies. Don’t make all of Tennessee pay for another Nashville team.

@ClayTravis The most truthful statement LeBron has ever uttered. We went to the Grizz-Lakers game in Memphis last year. Downtown Memphis is like a 3rd World Country. The Grizzlies should move to Nashville. Rebrand as the Tennessee Grizzlies. Play 2 games in Memphis & Knoxville each year.

@Jr1776 @rroruman @theficouple 😂 Everything you just knocked Knoxville on is way worse in SC. What are you talking about? We’ve got a vacation home on Bluffton that is just rental income. Only about 1 mo/yr would I rather live there.

Here's the math: A single person earning $70,000/yr takes home ~$4,500/mo after tax. A realistic budget: -$1,200/mo: Rent -$400/mo: Food - $330/mo: Transportation - $280/mo Utilities/phone - $500/mo: Fun ...Living within their means lets them invest ~$1,600/mo.

@rroruman @theficouple We live in the wealthy suburb of Knoxville, Farragut… you can get an apartment here for under $1,100 and it’s projected to be one of the best cities to move to for the next 5 years.

Lotta men would have stood ten toes down about their take that there is no good Mexican food in Nashville. Technically this isn’t in nashville so I’m still kind of right. I’m here to say, we found a good one courtesy of @gkittle46 To put it simply El Jardins is good Mexican food.

@GoldandBurner That’s rich. Someone crying about Renn getting called for a foul. It’s only to make up for the 74 they didn’t call. Oh and btw, Oscar Cluff just took another 19 steps. But no travel here. Carry on.

This is what we’re up against. Refs are already letting Arizona get away with murder. TKR being held with both hands by the Arizona defender on the inbounds. Foul on TKR.

Jimmy Carr, the British comedian, made a sharp observation about a major political shift happening in the West. He traces it back to Hillary Clinton calling millions of Americans “deplorable.” From there, he says, traditional left-leaning parties started to change. In the UK, he argues the Labour Party — once the party of the working man — has undergone a kind of “gentrification.” It no longer feels like it speaks to the average working guy (the “white van man”), who is now more likely to support Reform on the right. Carr wonders when exactly that switch happened, and whether this drift from working-class roots signals something bigger — possibly even the beginning of the end for classic liberalism. It’s one comedian’s blunt take, but it captures a tension you see playing out in many countries: parties moving away from their traditional base while voters quietly look for new options. As someone not from the UK, I found his framing interesting. Does this kind of shift feel familiar in your own country too, or do you see the reasons differently?

@arnofski @MasculineM7 If you know you are not an average, then why agree for a salary that averages get? They may laugh and pick an average person instead of you only if that position is really average.

@CPyles8 if a pushout point gets added to college wrestling it will kill action even more. guys will cease offense and just try to get push out points which is a worse product. i get the idea just dont think it works with folkstyle very well

In freestyle, out of bounds overwhelmingly helps the attacking wrestler. In folkstyle, out of bounds overwhelming helps the defensive wrestler.

@__ABALLDAY @LarryInMissouri I won’t accept folkstyle slander. Folkstyle is way more entertaining and competitive than freestyle. Yes, wrestlers stall but the refs do a pretty good job of mitigating it. The 125 pound match was booty cheeks. Only way to fix that is put them in the girl’s tournament.

NCAA recap 1.Penn state fatigue is real 2. Folkstyle promotes stalling 3. What is a takedown? 4. NCAA finals is still the best environment in all of wrestling 5. Those who’ve never wrestled in the tournament always have the most to say Congrats to all who competed this weekend

@JoeKania3 Meh….i have comps in grappling wrestling and judo. Most of the guys I competed against were all cool. Some i beat. Some beat me. No I wasn’t a D1 athlete but something about the grind of grappling builds camaraderie. I don’t want to see wrestling become mma or even basketball

I have no problem with Messenbrink here. It is not a nice thing to do, though. That’s ok. Wrestling is not a nice sport. But walking up to seven people whose dreams were just crushed to be like gg thanks for trying isn’t wholesome it’s antagonistic. Nothing wrong with that. People have this idea that wrestlers are supposed to be these choir boy types. That doesn’t align with the nature of the sport.
