The day Mikel Arteta picked us up, we were 11th in the table and even being in this competition was light years away. It took time but what he’s built this team, this club, back into deserves the ultimate respect.

Arsenal are through to the final of the UCL while being unbeaten. Special group of players that have the fans dreaming of something truly special. Pre- match & home support was insane. We prayed for times like this. Job not done. Lock in Arsenal Football Club. Its Time.

@GuillemBalague This explains it a bit I think. The opponents in PL are definitely stronger than in other leagues. It’s also evident that PSG & Bayern can easily play second strength teams in league to keep players fresh for CL, you won’t see Arsenal or City or Pool doing that in PL games.
Scott Willis@scottjwillis

I have seen lots of talk about the difficulty of schedules between Arsenal, Bayern, and PSG, so I wanted to try and look at it a bit more. This shows the strength of the opponent and also the % of the minutes in the match that were still competitive.

Mikel Arteta talked yesterday about the French and German league, as he had plenty of evidence that the INTENSITY was lower compared to the Premier League That has been interpreted as the leagues being WEAKER I am not sure that is what he said, unless I am corrected and he did use the word ‘weaker’. There is always a rush in certain quarters to say which league is the best. More intense, means more demands. It does not mean weaker. PSG and Bayern win the league regulary. If City wins it this year, it will be the the 7th time in 9 years and nobody would say the Premier League is weak

My neighbors just had a baby who cries for 16 hours a day but guess which one of us is getting a lease violation? I feel like you should have to disclose to potential tenants if anyone on that floor is thinking about getting pregnant, because I would not have signed this lease.

This guy proves he is an idiot week in week out. England could do without such idiots & they may do well at the World Cup.

Wembley DJ now playing "Things can only get better". D-Ream on. Rising sun and a sinking feeling: Japan beat a disappointing England 1-0. Seven thoughts on the whistle from Wembley… Harry 1. Wrap Kane in cotton wool. Hope he enjoys a prolific, niggle-free end of season at Bayern. England lack leadership, focus and goals without their captain and record scorer. England also missed Rice and Saka. Harry 2. Believe in Maguire. How on earth is Maguire sixth choice centre-back, according to Tuchel? Brings authority, passing from the back and a threat at corners (and pens). Header cleared off line by Sugawara. Must go to the World Cup. Play with more width, more freedom. Get the wingers to take on their full-backs, not cut inside all the time. England painfully narrow for an hour. Rashford and Bowen brought some width. Some. Express yourself. Believe in Bellingham. Injured but let’s dispel the doubts: he has to start at 10. Bellingham would have taken responsibility, imposing himself. He’s world class. If England are to progress far at the World Cup, they'll need their best players. And Bellingham is one. No more Ben White. Decent player but a divisive figure amongst England fans. Booed on, booed off. England’s hard core crowd in the Block 109 particularly vocal. England have enough alternatives at right-back (even with Tuchel’s damaging snubbing of Alexander-Arnold). Perspective. England swept through an easy qualifying campaign. But up against decent teams, Senegal (ranked 19th at the time), Uruguay (17th) and Japan (19th) they struggled. LDL. You cannot lose possession cheaply. And this was 13C, not the 23C+ across the pond. Japan looked a real team, well-organised. England didn't. Positive. Don’t panic. England lost 1-0 at Wembley (to Iceland) in their warm-up before Euro 2024 - and reached the final. #ENG

The night of the Wolves game will live long in my memory. It was dark but I can tell you with certainty that very night he was already thinking and preparing for Spurs. He locked in. He turned a moment of despair into fuel. To the very fucking end Mikel. These words hit different
