On a beautiful second day of spring, many of our Red scholars, staff, and their parents showed up on a Saturday for the annual Garden Beautification Day. New mulch was installed and several plants were added to spruce up our campus. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

This afternoon, many scholars stayed after school to present the 100 Years of Black History Museum Gallery. Here, recreations of notable black figures told their stories, along with other students providing information on black colleges. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

Today, Third - Fifth grade classes participated in a Career Fair Gallery Walk with local business leaders. Our scholars were able to participate in hands on activities and have face-to-face conversations about future jobs. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

As we continue to focus on career week, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten scholars enjoyed a visit from the Houston Fire Department, where they learned about fire-safety equipment, and were able to take an opportunity to use the hose. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

This morning, our 1st and 2nd Grade scholars enjoyed a visit from the Houston Police Department mounted division. A great question-answer session followed, closing out with an upclose point of view of the animals. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

The varsity basketball team got back to their winning ways, beating Longfellow Elementary with the final score of 27-19. There will be no games for the next two Saturdays because of Spring Break, with the next game on March 21. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

It’s the Friday before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and that means it’s Go Texan day! Many of our scholars dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls to celebrate one of the big events that Houston has to offer. Yeehaw! @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD
