This evening, Red scholars attended the HISD Gifted and Talented Expo at Delmar Fieldhouse, with other GT students from the district. There were plenty of science presentations that showed off student mastery of various topics. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

This afternoon, our fifth grade scholars took a field trip to iFly in West Houston. Soaring high in an indoor wind tunnel, students and staff experienced a field trip with wind speeds up to 185 mph simulating a 14,000 foot skydive. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

There is excitement in the air as the STAAR test begins tomorrow for our Grade 3-5 scholars. To raise the excitement even more, today we had a STAAR pep rally where staff and students participated in games with some interesting prizes. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

This past weekend, through rain and shine, our scholars participated in the Houston Art Car Parade in downtown Houston. Along with the many other entries, Red’s Cat Car stood out as a great example of student collaboration. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD

For the final weekend of the season, the varsity basketball team was able to defeat Forester Elementary, but could not overcome Foster Elementary. It was a great season with highs and lows. Our team fought tooth and nail to the end. @REDSTEM_Magnet #TeamRedSTEM @HoustonISD
