@MarkBrad3x9x40@DukeNBA Your ignorance is next level, trying to act like d00k started elite level players. 🤣🤣😂😂. Remind me, between the two, who had the most elite players?
@DukeNBA Heels are just trying to be like Duke, get elite ball players, they are gonna be in shock to see this coach isn’t gonna be any different than Davis
@branden_pensyl@dontejharvey You can mention it, but it still does not support your translation. It is well known that he was instrumental in player development, but I welcome you to post quotes that actually say he lacked in player development.
@REKCUTJ@dontejharvey Lol. It's pretty well known. Did you want me to mention the toxic environment which includes the players getting tired of his coaching?
NEW: North Carolina guard Luka Bogavac has entered the NCAA transfer portal, @PeteNakos reports.
Bogavac averaged 9.8 points per game.

Breaking: University of North Carolina commit Maximo Adams is NOT de-committing from the school, and will remain with the program after the hiring of Michael Malone, he told ESPN’s @PaulBiancardi.
Maximo Adams told ESPN.
“I’ve always wanted to play for the Tar Heels. It was my dream school growing up, and I’m excited to be coached by Coach Malone.”
Adams is currently the No. 21 prospect in the SC Next 100. He is highly skilled, with touch from beyond the arc and in the paint, and he rebounds his position consistently well. This is significant news for the Tar Heels.

@REKCUTJ@JoeTipton@On3@InsideCarolina Xs and Os, ability to adjust in game depending on tempo and what the other team is doing, using your depth and trusting your bench.
North Carolina guard Jaydon Young will withdraw his name from the transfer portal and return to the Tar Heels next season, he told @On3.

@kachinuel@PaulBiancardi So because he hasn't been in college since 2001, it means he is unable to develop a player? Some of you all just say anything to be a part of the conversation. Crucial development by getting coached by someone who knows what it takes to go and stick in the league. Stop.
@PaulBiancardi Sticking with a coach who hasn't been in college since 2001 is a risk. The college game is now dominated by NIL and the portal, not just NBA playbooks. Adams is risking his crucial development years on a transition experiment
@The_Set42@kachinuel@PaulBiancardi Your comment doesn't really make sense. By the time he would have arrive, Davis would have coached as a D1 head coach. When he arrives on campus, Malone still would not have.
@SethDavisHoops@UNC_Basketball I agree Re hire best person for the job
I appreciate you shouting out Scheyer's ability to do as such. That's why I banged so hard on the Lucas drum. Moot now, I get it. It made sense, but UNC was focused on getting a May, not finding the next one, panicked & 8M later here we are
If Mike Malone's decision to hire Chuck Martin is any indication of how he's going to operate, then @UNC_Basketball fans should feel very optimistic. Martin is a true vet, respected in all corners, and will bring a lot to the job. I also like that Malone doesn't feel hamstrung by feeling he has to make every hire a former UNC player or coach. Jon Scheyer has been very smart in this regard as well. Hire the best person for the job, full stop, and it's hard to imagine anyone better than Martin on day one.
"Every other day we were on the phone for about an hour, hour and a half with the ADs of North Carolina, and at the end of every call I would say 'Mike Malone's the guy.'"
Kenny knew Michael Malone was the man for the job at UNC 🙌
Sources: Arkansas' Chuck Martin is finalizing a contract to be the Associate Head Coach at North Carolina under Michael Malone.
Martin --- who worked with Malone many years ago at Manhattan --- was instrumental in back-to-back top-five recruiting classes for the Razorbacks.
UNC did all it could to sway Tommy Lloyd to Chapel Hill.
It didn’t work out.
To the Arizona fans in our mentions: congrats on keeping your guy. Y’all should be flattered we wanted Lloyd he’s a tremendous coach.
