Of all the mean-minded, vindictive, shittiest things Starmer has done, confiscating these humanitarian supplies for the Chagossians on their own islands is about the worst. May he rot in hell.
Chris Rose@ArchRose90
So they can stop boats. No, not ones with illegal migrants on, like the ones carrying 370 this week. But this supply boat with emergency supplies to Chagossians. What a waste of taxpayers’ money. You can’t hate this government enough.

@IsabelOakeshott @RogerHelmerMEP Whether or not it is "disgusting cruelty" depends on how its life ends. Humane slaughter and the revolting practice of halal are quite different things.

@ClarkeMicah @TBRowlands It probably did taste the same, but I agree with you: it did not feel like it.
As with drinking champagne out of chipped mug.
English

Au contraire , .@tbrowlands . What gentleman would eat his relish out of a plastic container?
I confess to having tried it in this form but finding it did not taste the same.

@ClarkeMicah The declining numbers of gentlemen can't have helped.

I really cannot see why shops should not be allowed tasers and handcuffs to deal with thieves. Immobilise them, then chain them to some bollard outside, and wait for the police to arrive. Even if that takes a day or so, given how busy the police are with arresting people who put stuff on social media.
English

@mattwridley It was never quite the same when they went from the heavy, well made pots to the flimsy plastic ones.

@H0H0v Solved in 3 lines of a spreadsheet. 16.
a1 is x
a2 is =sqrt(a1)
a3 is =a2^a2
Trial and error with x gets you there in 3 or 4 goes.

@PureBloodKiwi People hiding away from the sun, probably. Australians and New Zealanders are petrified of it. Low vitamin D.

@CliveWismayer @KennyGr61411855 Back in the day, the term was "Rebel". But even then that was unsatisfactory, because at the beginning of the War of Independence. the majority of the population was, I rather think, loyal to Crown. Until Sumter started hanging them, their hands untied for his amusement.

@LloydLegalist You might never tire of this. But I think your twin would. Quite quickly.

@SkyNews Iran had better watch out. Any more of this recklessness and Miss Cooper might well hand out a detention.

🚨BBC Newsnight Fiery Debate: Labour MP Rachel Blake Lectures on “Tolerance” When Called Out On Illegal Immigration
On BBC Newsnight, Jacob Rees-Mogg stated plainly: “I want zero illegal migrants.”
Labour MP Rachel Blake immediately shot back: “You do not speak for the British people.”
Rees-Mogg fired back that polling shows the public agrees with him on stopping the boats.
Blake then launched into a lecture about how Britain is a “decent, compassionate and tolerant country that thrives on those values.”
Rees-Mogg warned that Labour’s approach would mean hundreds of thousands more people coming in.
When pressed, Blake claimed they’d simply “have a new agreement” but when Rees-Mogg demanded she give a specific figure for how many Labour would allow or control, she refused to provide one.
Classic Labour: lots of virtuous slogans about tolerance from Rachel Blake, zero straight answers on illegal migration, and a clear refusal to level with the British public.
