Genuinely feel bad for Lamine, he did everything possible, everything in his power to get us anything, but it was simply not possible. Every time he gets the ball, he dribbles past one, then two, then three players, and then he looks up and sadly has no option but to keep trying to dribble the entire team. His best performances in the UCL somehow always go to waste… he deserves better than this.

It's very easy to focus on another Italian humiliation made possible by years of under investment, some crazy managerial appointments and in the case of last night... An incredibly rash and foolish decision by Alessandro Bastoni. As an experienced 26 year old defender... he HAS TO know better than to make that challenge, there. But can we have a moment for Edin Džeko please? 🇧🇦40 years old, playing his 23rd season of professional football 🇧🇦Scored 20+ goals in a season 7 times 🇧🇦Scored 30+ goals in a season twice 🇧🇦6 goals in 8 games in 25/26 for a Schalke side DESPERATE to get back to the Bundesliga For his country? 73 goals in 148 games for Bosnia, a team which is almost always the underdog. The only active players to score more for a UEFA nation are Ronaldo, Lukaku, Lewandowski and Kane. He scored 10 goals in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup, and once there scored against Iran to hand his nation their first ever World Cup win. Last week, he scored against Wales in their play-off semi-final, making 2026 the 20th year he's scored for his national team. Now this summer, he'll play at his 2nd World Cup. The title "most underrated player in the world," is thrown around way too much. But I don't think there are many with a better claim than The Bosnian Diamond. 💎

Harry Redknapp & Ryan Mason is Spurs’ last move to save their PL status. The players who are now fit are not relegation level. They’re probably Europa League quality overall. They need the right motivation to reach that level. They have to pull the trigger on Tudor’s sacking now.

If you blow the whistle, it’s a red card for Kepa. If it’s just a yellow, you allow the play to continue.

PEP GUARDIOLA: "The difference between Messi and this generation? I’ll be honest, if Messi were still in Europe, half of these stars… you wouldn’t hear much about their names. Today’s forwards score 20 goals a season and are considered legends. Messi would score 20 goals in two months or half a month and still complain he wasn’t at his best. Players today celebrate routine goals. Messi used to embarrass us by scoring world-class goals every single week. You know what the difference is between Messi and today’s generation? They need tactical analysis, performance-tracking devices, and nutritionists. Messi just needed a ball, boots, and my permission to train three extra hours. I’m coaching Haaland now, and he’s amazing. But if Messi were in the Premier League, Erling would be playing left back. Messi didn’t compete against players, he competed against our idea of what was impossible. Today Mbappé runs, Haaland scores, and De Bruyne passes, but no one, no one, can make us say, ‘Oh my God, how did he do that?’ Some players create stats. Messi created pure wonder."

If we don’t sign a cieling raising striker and CB this summer, the board has completely and utterly failed Flick and this squad. It’s as simple as that.

NOR is having a triple impact on Man City’s play. •He has the agility to act as a small space recycler • Box-crashing movement, nimble feet in the box & size to dominate (think he can hit 10 goals in a PL season as a midfielder) •Mopping up loose balls to prevent transitions

@TeaKupps His deeper role under Xavi showed even more crazy potential , still had these press resistance masterclasses but was developing passing range and creative passing on top

So VAR admitted to making a mistake that could potentially cost us the title, and casually expect us to move on? I understand referees making human errors, but the entire point of VAR is to correct those very errors. Worse is, the foul on Kounde was BLATANT as can be. You couldn’t miss it if you tried, let alone with every camera angle and supposedly cutting-edge technology
