Morgan Rogers use of the ball in these last few months has often been pretty poor. He has some wonder shots in his locker and some good carries in transition. But his general use of the ball when he’s on the flank or central vs deeper blocks, has been very disappointing.

Can sense a big mentality change in Spurs at Villa Park. Turning point. The aggression/organisation in the high press and organisation in the deeper block, with players doing their defensive jobs. Look how Palhinha, Porro, Gallagher were celebrating tackles. Tactical fouls. Grit.

What a front foot out of possession performance from Spurs. The Brighton match was good out of possession and this is another level higher again. De Zerbi coaching imprint, no doubt about it. Aston Villa have been strangled in their own half.

Deserved win for Man Utd. Looked the far superior team, even the nature of Liverpool’s goals were Man Utd giveaways. The 1st half was pure Man Utd dominance with Slot going for a kamikaze structure in possession that did not protect the transition. Bruno & co duly punished them.

Sesko’s presence and reach in the box has been phenomenal. It’s only been 15 minutes yet he’s managed to cause issues on 5 different crosses into the box.

Calafiori is Arsenal’s best full-back from an attacking point of view. He has great 360 degree awareness and can progress the ball from pretty much any position deep on that left flank. He also has some penalty box threat & can carry in transition.

This is facts. He did the same vs atleti last Weds. Lost flight of the ball going up for a header near the halfway line and left us with a massive gap which ATM almost capitalised on.

@JeffreyDeontay Gabriel again made two defensive decision making errors yesterday with bouncing balls, it’s not related to who the LB is, he is looking worse in this last few months , clear gap established between him and Saliba

Gabriel looks better both in and out of possession with Calafiori on the pitch. He doesn’t have to do as much on the ball when Cala is on

Whereas Hincapié is a straight line up & down LB, who is top in defensive 1v1s. Gabriel is making more defensive ricks though,so it’s a tough choice on who to play at LB vs Atléti. Do you go for the better attacking LB in Calafiori or do you protect Gabriel more with Hincapié.

If Rodri is staying then Elliott Anderson’s next club should be obvious to him & his agent. The 6 role he plays for England isn’t actually his optimal role. He’s tailor-made to play the connecting role that Bernardo Silva will leave vacant at Man City. His career will sky-rocket.
