@ScottKwas @TPS_Guy @victoryplustv They used to have a reasonable playoff pass regardless of how many rounds they played and the rink was quite full during those runs. Even the oil kings games are pricing people out with the cost to park, food, drink etc. good entertainment though for those that can afford it.

@ShawnGermain15 I 100% agree Shawn! A team mate does all the work, makes a great play and you score the goal skate away from teammates celly on your own jump into the glass and your team mates have to chase you down as the goal scorer makes it about himself. Some goals call for it most do not.

Is it just me or is it refreshing see hockey players score & not fake open their shirt like superman or rub the ice with their open palm? Just dudes celebrating with their teammates after an unbelievable play while competing in 1 of the most difficult sports I’ve ever tried.

Totally agree….When the coach is the loudest guy in the building, it actually drives me crazy! You are adding nothing to the player or the team and it’s just useless noise…..

I’ll add joystick coaching, yelling non stop instructions or questioning player decisions from the bench. Also, having a million set plays with no creativity of feel for the game.

@atlanticpuck I used to look at it this way but I do understand “why” they do this at developmental levels. I agree & don’t like the idea of a trophy/ribbon, but think this provides opportunities to experience a different setting from the regular season. Nothing wrong with more development.

Agree 100% with Biz. 1. Hockey is far from a sport for everyone anymore and it’s huge problem. We’re breeding arrogant, entitled people and athletes 2. We’ve completely lost our identity and the excuses are garbage. Being on top of the other team is a skill too. Wake up 🇨🇦

@RRechs9 @TheMrWilhauk You people need to understand they have to play like a team not backup players for 97 and 29. 97 is almost completely irrelevant teams have figured out how to take him out of the game.

It’s October and the #LetsGoOilers are dog shit again this year. 97, 29, 25 & 2 are brutal, 14 is struggling, not playing the kids, healthy scratching the wrong players, blaming every loss on 74 (even when he isn’t in net) Yep this is Edmonton Oilers hockey.
What does this all mean you ask?
Simple answer…. See you in the @StanleyCup final in June….

@sheriffbailer @TheMrWilhauk Create a solid pair on each fwd line Give 97/29 one guy and then one of the kids and give them a chance to thrive. 97/29 can still have looks together on PP, icings, after TV timeouts, after other teams kill etc.

@RRechs9 @TheMrWilhauk Today had more parity in minutes but I get so annoyed 97/29 playing 25 mins in game 3 of 82. Like, why? 2 long seasons, should be another long one. We have enough good players. Let the lines get in a rhythm. Hard to play 3-4 shifts a game and be effective

This is so true. Growth is not possible without challenges. Taking nothing personal, having a mindset where there’s always something to improve & a willingness to step outside the comfort zone. Skies the limit if there’s no fear of failure, hard work, & constant learning
