Note to @BOEAPS stakeholders: I could care less who the new Superintendent is because when this is the turn out to meet the new Superintendent of a district that’s been failing to educate for decades, nothing will change. For real scary though is @apsupdate and @BOEAPS LOVE that you don’t show up.

Updating the APS Dress Code for Teachers! Sneakers and jeans allowed! The amount I spent on “work clothes” as a teacher to be on the floor and keep up with students was ridiculous. This is HUGE!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

I recall when I was at APS and if wanted to request a sole source, I had to provide evidence as to why the vendor was uniquely qualified to meet the need. There was a process where we had to justify it and it went through procurement and an approval process.

I’m working on researching personal connections to all sole source contracts given in @apsupdate over the last three years to the companies that received them. I already uncovered one case of cronyism but when I complained was told there’s no policy against it. But I’m going to keep digging.

Can someone please explain to me how @apsupdate gets away with so many sole source contracts. $700,000 to College Board for test prep and $275,000 to Frontline Education for employee evaluation software and Professional Development. These are NOT sole source companies. Why weren’t these put to bid? Why is no one asking these questions to @BOEAPS? @APSTransparency @wykeishaforAPS @ltka1234

I kinda feel gaslit by voters. Like did we not start 2017 off marching for women's rights, science, basic concept of truth, religious freedoms? And folks are voting like a Presidentially embraced Charlottesville nazi March & January 6th never happened.

So far, 2024 feels fast paced. And I wonder...is it because it feels like The alternate ending of March 2020. A pandemic that shifted our paradigm never happened. We're settling back into our systems that existed before the pandemic

@SarahKirschATL @apsupdate I think the only reason that APS should make a statement on this is if they want to say something about supporting their employees or students. In the absence of that, I don't see why they needed to make a statement and especially THIS one.
