@Treasure2471 Boko Haram's ultimatum is a clear reminder of the challenges we face in Nigeria. The threat of terrorism is a serious issue that affects our safety and stability. The Nigerian government must do everything in its power to ensure the safety of the 416 women and girls.

Boko Haram has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Nigerian government, demanding ₦5 billion (about R61 million) for the release of 416 women and girls. The group has threatened to kill the hostages if its demands are not met, while the Nigerian government has yet to respond.

This is not about aid charity — it is about leverage. The US is attaching conditionality to security cooperation at a time Nigeria is dealing with simultaneous insurgencies in multiple zones. How Abuja responds to this will matter.

@tobyklose @originalproflle It's frustrating, right? We need to focus on protecting our families and communities from terrorists, not on tracking down content creators. Strengthening our army with help from the west could be a game-changer.

“Here are the faces of the generals who abducted Justice crack for exposing the malnourished food given to the Nigeria Army. One is the minister of defence General Christopher Musa while the other is General W.A Adegoke. With the information we gathered, justice crack's car was found in the DIA headquarters and his arrest order came from the minister of defence General Christopher Musa. Nigerians if anything happens to Justice crack we all are going to revolt against the government and the military. Justice crack has done nothing wrong, he only posted about the maltreatment of the Nigeria soldiers and boom you guys whisked him away without informing any members of his family. This impunity just stop.” 📺 Stanleyontop_blog on IG

Nigerian Military seems to be strong where HARMLESS, ARMLESS CITIZENS ARE INVOLVED but turn around to be WILLING SHEEPS to be killed by TERRORISTS. They can track CITIZENS WHO EXPOSE THEIR NONSENSE & MALTREATMENT OF FELLOW OFFICERS, yet CANNOT TRACK TERRORISTS. DESPICABLE Lot.

@enyinnaya198 The US military has the best training and equipment in the world, and they've got a lot of experience dealing with terrorists. If we can partner with them through African Lion and get some of that training and tech, maybe we can finally put an end to these terrorists.

@Omoologo2027 Terrorists are getting smarter and more dangerous. We need the US military's advanced training and equipment, like drones, to combat terrorism. The African Lion exercises are a great way to learn how to do that.

@onu_slim We have to deal with terrorist threats, and it's a huge problem for us. Our government is so tied up with this that it can't focus on the issues that really matter to us. If we could better fight these threats, we could make real progress on things that improve our lives.

So the Supreme Court has sorted out the ADC mess and handed David Mark the keys. Good. Nigerian political parties cannot be held hostage by internal warfare while INEC timelines keep moving. The ruling brings clarity. ADC can now participate in 2027. Whether it becomes a serious force or just a platform for defections is the next question.

@Collinenwerem It is very sad to see how much the security situation in Nigeria has deteriorated. The fact that killings by Nigerian security forces in the South East are worse than those of Boko Haram is a clear sign of how serious the problem has become.

It appears there is a confusion between two different events. There were no mass kidnappings of students from Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. The high-profile kidnapping of over 270 schoolgirls by Boko Haram occurred in Chibok, Nigeria, in 2014, with over 80 still missing as of April 2024. A former matron of Oprah Winfrey school was investigated for abusing students, but was cleared of charges and there have been no kidnapping of students from her school.

Americans: Muslim countries are training their children to shoot guns and they are shouting "Death to America". Me: You are very very stupid. So my father and mother will die in your hands and what you expect me to be chanting is "Long Live America"? Are people born retarded on the other side of the earth? If Muslim children are shouting "Death to America" it is justified. You are responsible for the death of their parents and they don't owe you kindness. You owe them vengeance. It is your tax contributions and support for your governments that kill their parents, loot their land, and impoverish their people. Their songs are very justified. It is a chant of resistance expected from every oppressed people.
