@ManaTJohnson Yes, a big proponent also being the duel and the use of his damaged gate. That was Emilia's 4th time seeing him unconscious and 1st time not because he was saving anyone. It's extremely compelling to have someone torn over reckless disregard of one's life.

@RaidFinding What made me love her was when she didn’t blindly love and forgive Subaru no matter what. When he didn’t listen to her and acted like her savior, she got mad and was willing to end their friendship over it. I adore that. It makes all of their interactions thereafter mean more.

What made me love Emilia from the start was accepting a date from Subaru didn't require any mansion loops, it happened on his first life of his new checkpoint. She saw the value in the foreign concept and said yes, her affection is tied towards "just Subaru", not Rbd Subaru.

A gender swapped Echidna who was instead tempting Emilia and being smug to Subaru would be troublesome. If Emilia called him sexy in an outfit like Subaru did for fem Echidna, that'd be hard to sit through. And drinking that tea just seems more messed up too? Bad vibes

@mela_elle0808 Cheating really heightens the stakes of a story, what immediately kills it is if the partner just so happens to be ok with it, even embracing it. Reciprocal possessiveness (aka being normal) is what Id like all relationships to strive or maintain.

This even if the fmc and MMC are cheating with each other. Unless their partner is a complete pos/is cheating too. I once read a book where the female lead was the mmc's wife's worker or something and the MMC and her banged in the same house. It made me despise the main charas

@DanTheAssassin_ But really, there's tons of reasons I like Emilia, even as early as arc 1, so saying I was enlightened isnt actually accurate.

@DanTheAssassin_ Yes. She's also surrounded by a cast of characters who arent too kind until multiple chances are afforded to them. Emilia's role in return by death is extremely underrated. Subaru needs to completely rewrite people to continue, but prefers Emilia as, just Emilia.

Just watched Project Hail Mary and actually really enjoyed it. A lot of plot conveniences, but I honestly didn't mind. I like to imagine in actual space travel if any minor inconvenience occurred there wouldn't be much story, you'd just be floating debris.

@666helldweller Exactly even her "name calling" was a poor attempt at conveying something she never experienced. Further explored when seeing the drawings Puck and Subaru left her at the trials. Her heart all a flutter calling him a dummy dunderhead 😅

@RaidFinding The point is that despite giving a fake name at the beginning, Emilia got along well with Subaru from the very start, and before their deaths she wanted to apologize for lying to him. So yeah, Emilia always liked Subaru the way he is without having to "fix" himself with RBD.
