Mother's Day is celebrated the second Sunday in May. An American lady, Anna Jarvis, initiated it in 1908 after her mother died. It soon became a popular day to celebrate one's mother and motherhood. Happy Mothering Sunday (not Mother's Day!!)

A lady bug joined me at the altar this morning, on the corporal just beside the chalice. But as they are named for Our Lady of Guadalupe, I let it stay*. "She" stayed through the Consecration but was gone when I can back from distributing communion, which seems right.
