SAI PALLAVI AND JUNAID KHAN: EK DIN REVIEW Done with #EkDin. The biggest demerit or disadvantage is that its a remake. The word ‘Remake’ attracts unnecessary negativity. #EkDinReview The film is good and is more class appealing. May feel a bit off to its target audience due to the slow pace but technically, it is a well-made film. But the genre combined with no-hit music doesn’t justify a theatrical watch. #JunaidKhan has definitely grown as a performer and is first-rate in his role especially in showing the innocence and the introvert side. #SaiPallavi has also done a fine job and is too good in her role. The performances work in isolation due to the character-writing. The chemistry is good in some scenes and feels under-utilised in some, but in totality it comes off well, with support of good music. The film may not find audience due to extremely low buzz and absolutely no marketing at all. But, will definitely find appreciation from the neutral audience. Such films need to have hit music but unfortunately the songs did not go popular, which is why audience turnout will not be that favourable. Also, it is the inconsistency in the chemistry that impacts the output in totality. Something seems missing, could’ve been better but definitely not as bad as the internet tells you. A break from the usual kind of films that we’ve been watching. Rating: 3/5
