WSJ reporter really asked for comment on a joke President Trump made about his Diet Coke consumption killing cancer cells... @PressSec: "I think The Wall Street Journal should get a better sense of humor."

@bennyjohnson This is the beginning of the end for our current republic. Folks are sick of being governed by elected liars that are also pedos. Enough is enough. We should stop federal taxes to these fuck faces (both repubs and dems).

Further info: Pope Leo has stated on multiple occasions that he doesn’t intend to visit Nigeria and the Congo, as they have the largest Catholic populations on the African continent. Instead, he is “focusing on the peripheries of the Church”, where future growth lies. He has spoken about Nigeria. But he has not, and has no plan to, visit. While he is rubbing shoulders with Islamic leaders, millions of Christians are being slaughtered by Islamists in Christian nations that he refuses to visit. While he goes to other war zones in Africa and the Middle East, he has stated in no uncertain terms that he is not visiting the war zones where Christians are the targets. It doesn’t matter that he has spoken about the plight of Christians around the world. He needs to visit. He needs to see them. He needs to speak to his flock. Christians in Nigeria NEED HIM. It doesn’t matter that Nigeria has a larger Catholic population than, say, Algeria or Lebanon. Why? Because MILLIONS of Christians aren’t being actively killed and forced from their homes in those nations. “Growing” the Catholic Church will make no net difference if Catholics in other countries are being eradicated. If the entire Catholic population is having a genocide waged against them. The difference he can make in Nigeria eclipses anything he will achieve in Algeria. By miles. The message it would send for him to visit Nigeria in its hour of suffering matters more than ANYTHING, right now. Both to Nigerian Catholics. And to the rest of the Catholic world.

Dear Pope Leo, Instead of visiting mosques and meeting Islamic leaders in countries like Algeria… Go to Nigeria. Go see the millions of Christians being massacred by violent Islamists. Pray with them. Show solidarity with them. Care for them. Sincerely, Christians everywhere

I'm sure this is enraging CATO right now but this is effectively better than if they ever do file. In the off chance they're actually working "on-the-books" jobs, they still get their payroll and income taxes withheld. Payroll taxes are 15.3%. EITC and CTC fraud is a huge problem for taxpayers. If "undocumented immigrants" refuse to file taxes, they won't get any refunds and they can't claim EITC or CTC credits either. Financially, all positive for American citizen taxpayers.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

The Trump administration’s decision to reverse the practice of keeping IRS information walled off and encourage undocumented immigrants to file tax returns has led to a marked decline in the number of immigrants willing to engage in the tax system. wapo.st/4tS90ss

No, actually KBJ's dissent is ridiculous and libelous hyperbole -- and its coming from someone who has now repeatedly proven she is not intellectually or temperamentally capable of understanding her colleagues on the court, much less criticizing them.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson didn't invoke Weimar Germany as a rhetorical flourish. She cited a specific scholar by name in a footnote: Ernst Fraenkel, a Jewish labor lawyer who observed the Nazi legal system from the inside, smuggled his manuscript out of Berlin in 1938, and published "The Dual State" at the University of Chicago in 1941. Fraenkel's framework is precise. The Nazis didn't immediately collapse Germany's legal system. They left courts functioning - particularly in contracts and economic matters - while placing Jews and political enemies in a separate lawless zone where no legal protection applied. Most Germans lived in the law-bound "normative state." The targeted lived in the "prerogative state." The facade of normalcy was the mechanism of control. Jackson invoked Fraenkel to name what the court's Republican majority is doing in real time. In 21 consecutive shadow docket cases, the six conservative justices have let Trump opt out of the law - often with no explanation given at all. They blessed ICE racial profiling without citing a single legal justification. They allowed Trump to ignore $4 billion in congressionally appropriated foreign aid. They stripped lower courts of the ability to issue universal relief, meaning only those with resources to file individual lawsuits get protection from illegal presidential action. Constitutional law professor Evan Bernick put it plainly: "The court is adjusting the law to make place for arbitrary power." Jackson's dissent is not hyperbole. A footnote citing a 1941 manuscript about Nazi legal architecture is a Supreme Court justice blowing the cover on what her colleagues are building.

The formerly bellicose Iranians have been strangely reticent to respond to this American provocation. Seems Iranian enthusiasm for missile launching is at an all-time low. Funniest thing is how their fanboys in the West have gone silent at the same time.

If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than: Tesla Southwest Disney Live Nation HP United PayPal CVS Health Palantir Citigroup PG&E 3M That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax. It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.

Notable precedent. You can apparently just ban non-profit groups that you label “extremist.” Republicans should take notes. Every communist organization in the United States should be shut down. No Kings protests will evaporate overnight. Let Democrats find out.
