I'm devastated by the antisemitic attack at one of our nation's largest reform synagogues. My heart is with the entire Temple Israel congregation.
Antisemitism has no place in our country. We owe it to our Jewish siblings to stamp it out and ensure they can worship without fear.

The main resolution passed yesterday calls on the university to end its partnership with the Technion in the Cornell-Tech campus project on Roosevelt Island in New York, citing the Israeli body's involvement in human rights violations and the explicit accusation of genocide by Israel in the Iron Sword War. Update from law enforcement: vehicle was a truck with possible explosives inside. Thankfully, a security guard inside the Synagogue complex acted quickly and eliminated the shooter. The shooter is dead and the security guard has been hospitalized. Prayers for his immediate recovery - an absolute hero who prevented a massive tragic event.

As a parent, I never imagined that one of the biggest factors in choosing a university would be the level of Jew-hatred on campus. Yet here we are.
Our kids work their whole lives to earn their place at these schools.
They should be choosing universities based on their passions — not doing risk assessments on how safe it is to be Jewish.
