Leaving the atonement aside to address this behavior where people separate God‘s attributes as if they are separate from his essence. Yeah, God is love... and He is wrath and He is justice and He is an all consuming fire and He is light. Stop breaking the simplicity of God!

Penal Substitutionary Atonement (PSA) is not Orthodox teaching. The idea that the Father poured His wrath on the Son as a legal substitute is a later Western innovation, not the Faith of the Apostles and Fathers. Christ didn’t die so the Father could punish Him instead of us. The Cross is victory over death, sin, and the devil — not cosmic child abuse. The early Church taught Christus Victor: Christ became what we are so we might become what He is. Atonement is healing, not forensic punishment. The Trinity has no internal conflict. God is Love, and Love went to the Cross to rescue us. Orthodoxy preserves the ancient Gospel: the Cross is glorious triumph, not penal transaction. ☦️

My point is that when the Lost see Christians enthusiastically embrace an evil man is some sort of political savior, the cause of Christ is compromised. I'm certainly not saying you are guilty of that, but Franklin Graham, Greg Locke, Robert Jeffress etc are.

I voted Trump w/o hesitation based on the info at that time. I now hope we enact the 25th and God removes @realDonaldTrump as leader of USA. Placing Israel above us, cussing on Easter, breaking every promise, & threatening to nuke all of Iran is evil and I hope he's ousted.
