@Rebel_Net @Nico00796974 I think the frustration a lot of MWC fans is the constant discontent from a couple of universities fan bases! If it happens so be it. Going forward I will focus my attention on the schools happy to be in or who are joining the conference!

Try to step back from being a UNLV fan for a second. A) you can return to UNLV for x dollars and play in the new MWC, think of the games, TV, of NCAAT opportunity. B) you can go to a big conference school for x+y dollars and think of their NCAAT chances. Bad spot for UNLV.

@Nico00796974 @wyovowboys4ever When UNLV was reeling in the bucks during our heyday, had we paid attention to football instead of the Strong’s and Nunnely’s, etc … we’d be where we wish to be, imo. We acted too little, too late.

100%! It is football. I am born and raised in Vegas. If you would have told me growing up football was going to help basketball get back on track. I would have said no way. If you would have told me we would have an NFL team and host a Super Bowl (which I went to). I would have asked what asylum you escaped from! Haha.

@Nico00796974 @wyovowboys4ever I don’t think hoops matters much when it comes to conference appeal. It’s football, but it’s more than that. I think venue matters, TV footprint, I think Vegas itself provides a not necessary, but big side plus that many don’t have … travel, city appeal, tourism, etc.

My family’s histories go way back. With the help of a genealogist, I was able to look up my ancestors all the way back to slavery in this country. With the exception of one set of great-grandparents who immigrated here, I know their names and where they were enslaved. With that said… Every failure I’ve ever encountered has been my own fault. It wasn’t slavery. It wasn’t white supremacy. It wasn’t “the man” holding me back. It was me. Once I started taking responsibility for myself and my own actions, success started coming. Even when I failed, I knew I gave the task at hand my best shot. Funny how that works out. More folks should try it.

Babies need fat and protein for their brains to develop. The elderly are put on low fat, high carb diets. Then they are put on statins. So basically, take away quality protein and fat for brain function and feed it sugar. Then when dementia sets in, feed them more pills.

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

@A_M_Schneider That’s the thing, if you aren’t NBA, you have to take what you can get in your college years because it’s going to be higher than what you’ll make with your degree, much higher for some. You have to capitalize in that small window. That’s why I don’t blame them

@Rebel_Net Trying to put my UNLV love to the side. I think Jones could be lured away by big money at a big school. Dra should take a step back and remember his limited role at a P4 school and the opportunity he received in Las Vegas. However, if you aren’t NBA bound then take the money.

Tyrin Jones (@Tyrinjo1) is such a unique talent. The 6’9” freshman has grown tremendously this season—especially in his confidence on the offensive end. His aggression, slashing ability, and creative finishing have been a joy to watch develop. A lanky pterodactyl—always lurking, ready to soar for dunks and swat shots. Just an explosive athlete with an all-around skill set that makes his potential incredibly exciting. @vegasrebel19 Agree with that. However, I think UNLV FB is more stable and the path might be tougher for football (1 in 6 teams make the NCAAT) …. It still feels more probable to make a consistent name in FB.

@Rebel_Net Yep. Same with football. Even though football is in great shape right now if a kid is deciding between UNLV and a P4 school how are you supposed to sell the kid on playing against mighty UTEP and having to run the table to have a shot at the CFP
