I’m proud to work on this project with the DKH healthcare professionals, UConn management, State Senator Mae Flexer, Governor Ned Lamont and community members in ensuring that Day Kimball continues to serve as a strong and sustainable cornerstone of care in our region.

The bill now heads to the Senate for consideration on Thursday. Once the bill passes negations will begin between DKH's Board & UConn's Board to work out an agreement of consolidation.

Big news for Northeastern Connecticut! Tonight, the State House of Representatives passed HB 8001, beginning the process for Day Kimball Health to join the UConn Health System, along with Waterbury Hospital and Bristol Hospital.
