I also strongly condemned the violent attack on Senator Osotsi. This incident reflects a growing disregard for the rule of law and an escalation of political intolerance. Violence does not begin with actions alone. It begins with reckless language that normalizes aggression. This trend must be stopped. Those responsible for the attack must be identified, pursued, and prosecuted without delay, including any who may have fled across borders. Failure to act decisively will embolden further lawlessness. If this trajectory continues, we risk eroding state authority and pushing the country toward instability. Catastrophic friendly fire: FARDC drone strike wipes out own troops 🔴A catastrophic failure in military coordination has left DRC’s armed forces (FARDC) reeling after a CH-4 combat drone bombed positions held by its own troops and Burundian allies, killing hundreds of soldiers, including five colonels, in an operation intended to target AFC/M23 rebels and Twirwaneho fighters. 🔴According to sources on the ground, the drone, approaching from the direction of Bujumbura on April 11, struck FARDC and Burundian National Defence Force (FDNB) positions in the villages of Kirungwa and Muramvya, in Bijombo Groupement, Uvira Territory, South Kivu Province. 🔴The death toll was devastating. Hundreds of Congolese soldiers and members of the FDNB coalition were killed in the strike. Among the dead were five colonels including Col. Etienne Kalumuna Mishabira, the commander of the 3303rd Regiment. @Jasiri_ACM @kinjeketile Their maintenance acumen is questionable. They have received new Flanker parts from Russia which HAL assembled into brand new airframes yet other states with older airframes do not have such crash rates.

@RepublikFree @kinjeketile That's the worrying bit. Angola is using ex-IAF Flankers...they haven't crashed them as far as I know. These guys have lost 2 Flankers now and a MiG 29 within a month!

Again?? 3 fighter planes crashing in quick succession...tf is going on with the IAF?
