This morning, i chaired Budget & Appropriations Committee meeting that considered timelines for preparation of the annual estimates for 2026/ 2027 FYi. The committee also approved public participation framework which will be conducted in 27 counties across the country

This morning at Ahindi gardens , Siaya town, we monitored the progress of voter registration . Alego Usonga constituency has a 70% turn out , three days to the end of national voter registration campaign

This afternoon, I joined my friend Hon Joshua Oron in Ahero town, Nyando constituency during a public Baraza. Also in attendance was Hon Onyango Koyoo, Mp Muhoroni .

No imposter will be allowed into Kisumu. Kisumu city must remain a peaceful city.

Alego Usonga , the largest constituency in geographical size and population,completely erased from the Siaya county Executive formation .Grace Agola en chi Asembo !

President William Ruto has proven to be different and unselfish in his appointments. Yet, when he appoints a certain tiny board member or a random High Court judge, we are quick to shout “Yamune!” and label him tribal. We have been extremely unfair to President William Ruto!

The attack on Hon Osotsi in Kisumu is totally unacceptable. Law enforcers must move with speed to arrest the suspects & be subjected to the full force of law.

@SamuelAtandi, 1. No I don’t expect Mbadi to open for me anything to steal, but that’s besides the point. And your ad-hominem attacks won’t distract my arguments. 2. The first key point is that the primary selling point should not be anti kikuyu rhetoric, sell your agenda to Luos. Don’t sell hate. 3. But if we must use the Kikuyu yardstick, then show us which enduring industries and enterprises you have helped incubate over all the decades of handshakes you have enjoyed, particularly when you have been Budget Chair. Name one? 4. I have seen your choppers, gym and anti kikuyu rhetoric like the one below where you are saying Murang’a got piped water 5 decades ago, but now show me the industry and enterprises part. Use the broad based opportunity to build, to speed up progress, not to stir ethnic rhetoric. (And remember you aren’t clean, your record of being part of plundering and looting National Bank to its knees while a director there speaks eloquently for itself. So let’s leave personals aside.)

Random Caution… Luos will likely leave broadbased with nothing enduring to show. 1. The divisive rhetoric coming from CS Mbadi serves no one, other than sowing ethnic division. If anything, it’s makes Luo political leaders look like constant whiners, complainers and perpetual victim mentality even when holding such a powerful docket like finance. 2. The ordinary Kikuyu citizen is struggling just like any other Kenyan. The only people who have had more than their fair share are a few Mt. Kenya elite. 3. President Ruto has done Luo Nyanza a big favor, but instead of capitalizing on the opportunity they are busy playing petty victim mentality politics to whip up tribal emotions. 4. 60 years after independence with all that so called Lancaster English, there is not a single bank, insurance underwriter or broker promoted by a Luo. 5. Yet all these businesses - banking, insurance, brokers - now fall under Mbadi’s ministry. Instead of working silently to change the narrative like Sidian Bank has done, he is focussed on English of 60 years ago. 6. We blame Mt. Kenya for their self determination… a Kikuyu CS Finance would not be wasting time talking about English of 60 years ago, they’d be very busy building and entrenching businesses that will outlast their time in government… for example Ndegwa’s could care less who is in power. 7. Luos will likely leave broadbased empty handed with nothing enduring to show. The so called “tunataka pawa”, those are pursuits for individual positions and careers masqueraded as community aspirations. Enterprises endure, but positions are fleeting… seen the way Tuju has gone bonkers being kimbizwad in this town mpaka he abducted self? Wake up people. Happy Easter!

ODM leaders today joined other mourners to bid farewell to Mzee Joel Gadi Ochieng Ong’wen at his farm in Udenda village, West Alego Ward, in Siaya County. The leaders who included National Chairperson @gladyswanga, Chairman of the Caucus of the County Chairpersons Gvn @BarasaFernandes, Alego-Usonga MP @SamuelAtandi, his Rangwe counterpart Dr. Lillian Gogo among others, urged the locals to remain steadfast in the party and assured them that they fight for a good deal when the pre-election coalition talks begin. The deceased was the elder brother of the ODM Executive Director, Oduor Ongwen. May Mzee Joel’s soul rest in peace.

Power was disconnected at the siaya county HQs two weeks ago. Paints at siaya county refferal hospital must carry gloves to be attended to by nurses. Meanwhile the inept & tired governor was with his inlaws in Kirinyaga calling for a revolution.

He shrinks when he meets the President,but when he is with gullible leaders, he turns himself into a revolutionary conman.
